Without Destiny it's really annoying to get a good FATEBOT setup now. Lightpatrol is not reliable and most of the time leaves me doing nothing even when a FATE is nearby. I'm not too keen on Fate/stay Teleport because it just keeps teleporting around, wasting gil. How are people using their fatebots?
I'm In north thanalan atm, and have the FATE bot set to do nothing when there isnt any fates, and set the level +10, boom afk, but thats just for this area I'm guessing, otherwise I would have to blacklist certain fates because there isn't enough people. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
[HIDE][/HIDE] Destiny was good for going to different zones, but the combat and everything else is the same. Just go into a zone, spend a couple minutes blacking and setting up min max level fates if you have to and start it. You won't be able to really leave it on 24/7 like before with Destiny and a Repair plugin, but checking every few hours to see if you need to switch zones isn't exactly hard.
Fate stay works fine for me, I did edit the config a little and removed some zones.. but other than that, works like a charm.
same, just use this, change lvl range for zones, and use botbas settings to block the fates you dont want , and change ur + level rnage accordingly , class/chocobo rank
Fate/stay has two settings Leveling or Atma Hunting. The Atma hunting mode will teleport you all over to different areas to find Atmas which will burn some gil. Make sure you set leveling ranges to each zone in the settings if you want to use it for leveling.
May I ask what does everyone setting for the option "engage boss fates when progress is above"? I'm kinda new to the game and is currently in northern thanalan for 42-50 fates. I want the bot to join ppl fate train but i dont know how to set it to work appropriately
I typically put mine to as close to 0 as possible. This way, as soon as one or more people start working on it, your character should head that way. If you set it to 0, it will move as soon as the FATE shows up, if you are eligible.
So i'll assume that the fate bot will cover the whole map that you are currently on am I correct? and thanks a bunch again y2krazy!
Yes, including parts of the map that you cannot directly access by running to them (e.g., Eastern La Noscea).
One thing he forgot to mention is that fatebot cant handle getting to the unreachable terrain, IE: Using the boat in ELN or TPing to Wineport
Anyone know how botting in N than is with summoner? I feel like like if it tries to do start with any type of casting over 2 seconds spell it will get bronze every fate.
Just run a custom CR that spams Tri-Bind and/or Ruin II; BLM have the same problem. None of the current CR's are designed for handling Fate Trains, although I think Ultima still does enough damage to get full XP most of the time. I haven't tested this yet though
YourRaidingBuddy has an awesome guide on how to configure his CR to cast any spells you like: https://www.thebuddyforum.com/rebornbuddy-forum/combat-routines/216126-yourraidingbuddy-coming-soon.html
Is there any way to make the bot not seem so twitchy when its following the cereluem road fate in n than? It takes like a step and stops every half second, and it just looks really botty and strange. Infact when the bot has to do anything while mving at all it looks really botty. Is there also a way to make the bot ignore random mobs who aggro them? I would like it to only attack fate mobs and ignore other mobs.
that's only on the client; other users will see you moving slowly, like you can probably see from the other bots walking beside you
I would just blacklist that fate if you care about people reporting you. That fate makes it blatantly obvious that you're botting because everyone that bots is running together slowly in a pack.
Anyones fatebot use a lot of gil like all of it? mine ran through 10k in 3 min teleporting places. I know thats not a lot but its terribly inefficient.
