      I cut the long story short.

      Basically i have a 32 -bit com which basically when boots up i get a choice to either boot -

      -ubuntu
      -Windows xp
      -windows Xp 64

      i do not want to have the windows Xp 64 choice to boot, i found on the internet some help, but not enough, here is what i need to edit.

      [boot loader]
      timeout=30
      default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS.0
      [operating systems]
      multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS.0="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
      multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Professional x64 Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

      so do i just change the above to this below ? or is that wrong? Any help appreciated.

      [boot loader]
      timeout=30
      default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS.0
      [operating systems]
      multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS.0="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
