Need a little (lot) of help with HB.

After spending what seems like 3 hours trying to get HB up and working, I've come to realize that I can't figure it out.

I've read the provided guides in the forums on how to "get it set up and running" and I'm still stumped. I even watched the videos and followed along. I deleted all the default CCs that came with HB like it said to do. I put ski's warlock CC in the DefaultClasses folder, where it said to put it, and when I start up HB and try to configure the CC it just says that there are no configuration options for the available CC.

I did notice that in the video there was a window to select what CC was to be used, but mine just keeps defaulting to "Prince of Darkness". Is there a place where you upload CCs like gatherbuddy had for profiles?

Keep in mind, I'm completely new to HB and have no idea on how to install CCs. The profiles are easy enough as they're pretty much like choosing GB profiles.

 

Where do you read to replace the default working CCs with others ?

So instead of starting easy with HB wou want it working with self written CCs and might be a ton of plugins first ?

And wounder why it doesn't work ?

 

You will only get a "Select CC" form when HB detecs multiple CC's for the same class, so since you deleted the original one you won't get that message.

 

Do what I do, I'm still a nub lol.
Delete everything you have now.
Download the new HB.
Unzip it/extract it.
Go to the main folder (the folder with Honorbuddy.exe)
Open up your browser.
Go download a profile and a CC.
The profile is an XML file I believe, just stick that in your main folder.
The CC is a folder with the title, like skiWarlock.
Double-click into CustomClasses in your mian folder.
Delete everything.
Stick skiWarlock folder in there.
Go back and double click Honorbuddy.exe
Login using your login info, then hitting login.
Go to general settings.
Hit Browse next to mesh folder, and look for your main folder. The name of your main folder should be Honorbuddy 2.0.0.x
Click that, and hit okay.
Type in your food name (such as Savory Snowplum)
Type in your drink name (such as Moonberry Juice)
Type in your mount name (such as Acherus Deathcharger)
You choose the checkboxes.
Hit Bot Settings and choose your settings.
Hit Start and you should be up and running. I tried to make this very simple, sorry if I may be wrong from not proofreading.

Edit: You don't have to use a Custom Class, just keep the default, so skip the ones about skiWarlock and Custom Classes, etc.

Even though for some reason my warlock likes using health funnel then wasting Soul Harvest on low level mobs, rofl. The Price of Darkness is the Default Custom class for warlocks, I'm destruction and I get that message.

 

Apologies Bossland. I think I was getting too far ahead of myself. I was thinking that it was simply an "unzip and choose what CC you want" type of program. The reason I deleted the default CCs was because I read in one of the threads that that has to be done in order for HB to detect the appropriate class you're using. What I'll do is delete everything and start over from scratch and use all the defaults for the time being. I also haven't downloaded any plugins because I really don't know what there is or what any of them do.

I'll just run it fresh out of the box and see what needs to be tweaked.

 

Its a new Release after a new patch, some old things dont work, like wow addons, give it some time to be updated.

best way till then is to use just the test package.

 

Everything you said you did, is what I did. I couldn't get skiWarlock to work though, at all. I'm just going to delete HonorBuddy, redownload, and reinstall it and start from scratch and use all the defaults until I can fully figure out how to install and use other forum members' CCs to play around with. I'm starting a fresh Gnomelock and need to find a good leveling profile.

 

This is an test version, so better use it "naked" and get a feeling, shortly CCs and everything will be updated to work with the new HB-

Oh, Bossland, with HB does it learn talents while leveling? I know it can learn skills from trainers, but I was wondering about talents in the build trees.

 

I think thats a plugin that has to be fixed, unless it got integrated?

 

It may have gotten integrated. The only plugin that came with it was AutoEquip. I'll have to see. Only level 7 on my warlock.
