Hi, as there are a lot of gold sellers here, i hope someone can share some experiences. Ive just started to sell to private persons, and havnt had a good experience with it .. A guy claimed his money back, and i know have 150$ in negative balance. Now the dispute isnt over, and ive provided clear screenshots and skype records, but i know paypal tends to favor the buyer. Therefore i need some advice, what happens if i decide to ignore this negative balance and screw the account? It has my name and address (I live in Norway). What could happen? Ive read on forums and there are A LOT of different statements about it. So from one botter to another, help me out :(

I have a negative balance of about $300 because of the same situation. They will cock block all of your paypal accounts tied to you if you don't pay it. It's existed for 2 years now as well.

They can't ever take the money from you though so unless you want to use paypal just ignore it tbh. I have, they just tied another paypal account back to me and closed it though recently.

If someone in paypal would take one minute to google the issue, they would see the issue they got... Buyers are way in favor. But great intel thanks, do you know if they go after name, or IP? Because i currently borrow my brothers paypal for transactions now, will this be blocked? And what would happen to the money on it?

They will go after the name. My father still maintains his paypal with no problem, but any I start with my own name or bank account are instantly shut down again.

It sucks they side with these people when I even provided info about it. I called Blizzard (I had been banned for Pyrox in the same month) they said that Paypal could subpoena chat records to show that I had indeed traded the gold, but Paypal didn't care. So, now I don't care about getting that negative balance resolved.

there is no buyer protection for virtual goods in paypal. wow is a virtual good, so no buyer protection.

what could be the sace... your buyer claimed that his paypal account was hacked, and somebody made an unauthorized payment. in this case, you can send a milion chat logs, cos paypal tends to believe scammers, so they think, another person than the account holder made the transaction, and you wont see your money back.

i would suggest... dont sell to private buyers, if you dont know them in person. even chinese brokers sell less, they wont scam you, and in the end you have more.

Thanks for a lot of good information. A little warning for the people selling gold, if they contact you via Skype and their flag is for example Denmark (for some reason BOTH the scammers claimed to be danish) then check the clock at their profile. If it doesnt match with the country they claim to be from, then ignore them.

Hey mate - Had same problem, a coupel of weeks ago. I know paypal often take the buyer in protection, but not allways with "virtuel goods"

If the scammer said he recieved the "Virtuel goods" and got hacked/banned you will get your money back

Next time, sell the golds to a trusted buyer at OC. If you sell them to a privat buyer, use the "Request money" and make a statement, that says the buyer is buying wow gold, and by accepting this there will be no refounds.

GL mate, hope you win it.
