      [FINAL BETA] Hunter BETA CC - Actaeon by Fpsware


      This CC is a complete rewrite from the ground up. There is some code from other developers such as Bobby (find talent trees) and Niko (find pet food) but its mostly a fresh CC.

      Ok, here goes. If you want to use AoC then make sure you install the plugin. The plugin also provides much better support for calling the pet and rezzing the pet. Otherwise it does not try to call/rez until it gets into combat - nothing I can do about that. So use the plugin.

      • Automatic pet feeding has been added. It will search your bags for suitable food.
      • More support for spells / talents from all 3 trees.
      • If you get aggro while you pet is attacking a mob, your pet will pickup the loose mob. - this is still a bit buggy so be warned.
      • Multiple mob pulling with AoE (Volley) as a finisher
      EDIT: This is the final beta test. If everyone is happy with the changes I'll release it. The following changes have been made:

      • When feeding pet if no suitable food is found in your inventory it will stop trying for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes it will search your inventory again for suitable food.
      • When you run out of ammo it will only use melee abilities
      • If / when you get adds it will select the mob with the lowest HP and focus fire on it.
      • BGs it will now move into range properly - I simply forgot to add a range check in the BG combat sequence.
      • Multiple mob pickup is a bit smoother
      • It will use Volley spell if X adds even if useMultipleMobPickup is disabled
      • Will use the pet to pickup mobs targeting you a LOT quicker
      • Pet Happiness Feed level bug has been found and corrected
      • When using multiple mob pickup it will not use Freezing traps
      • More use of Multi-Shot
      • Will no longer attempt to cast Volley while running to mobs
      • Should now support most spells from all trees up to level 80
      Known bugs:
      • Breaks Freezing trapped mobs - may remove the use of Freezing trap
      • Hunter actually dies at times - this is a Blizzard bug that needs to be resolved asap
      If you can't be constructive and helpful when posting don't bother downloading this BETA CC.

      If you have problems and do not post a effing log file then don't bother asking for help!

      Viability check for Disengage, it happens all too often that my CC Feigns Death and Disengages in succession when it's a simple matter of aggro-loss from my pet.
      If possible, throw in logic for that.
      "if pet is targeting/attacking mob that is attacking me, wait 5 secs if playerhp is above 50% else [feign death] else [trap/disengage]" or "If pet is tanking adds and petHP is above 50%, target Player, Assist, Intimidation/Aggro Gaining skills, Mend Pet (since it can handle the extra add if we throw in a mend pet)
      Also, just move backwards/sideways instead of using Disengage if a mob happens to come near without targeting the player. In cases like where the pet dances around with a mob and the CC issues a Pet Follow call when pet is over 30 yards aways.

      Revive Pet/Call Pet OOC and IC , extensive mana check so it doesn't go down like my CC. If playerhp is above 60% and petisdead and moblist less than 3 then duke it out with immo-trap and melee. If the toon is risking death then Feign Death and rest() then Revive Pet.

      I'll write more when it comes to mind, i'm mostly familiar with BM specc.. but i'll try to help out with MM & Survival

      Usage of pet-skills, Dash for example.
      With support for all three kinds of pets.

      If pet is soon to be dead, try to distract shot the mob while pet regains hp via Mend pet

      By using Aspect of the Viper a hunter nearly dissipates the need for drinking, so a well planned logic for that would be awesome.
      All in all, a well planned Aspect-logic is needed.

      If there's any way of changing tracking based on target-type then that would be great. (Improved Tracking 5p skill @ Survival tree)

      Volley support for those situations when you are surrounded by more than 2 players in PvP and over 2/3 mobs @ Pet location.

      That's all i can think of today, i hope i'm not a pain in the ass ;D

      This is the only thing that i miss.
      Maybe make two different verions of it.
      one PvP all out dps version and one thats not using so much skills. Trap, disengage and all skills on leveling is allot of down time.

      Since it's FPSware we're talking about, there's gonna be alot of configurables so no need for unessesary CC-versions ^^

      A distracting shot and freeze trap on adds would be awesome. Altough you can nearly always handle an add without, it does make you look a lot less bottish. And on the current hunter cc's the spell rotation is reallly slow. Usually the mob is dead by auto shot before it did any real rotation. I dont know if this is because of the CC or not, but it sure would be nice to see it go a bit quicker.

      Is it possible to work in Aspect of the Cheetah in between fights when mana is high enough to avoid Viper?

      IMO, if you use the mounting option in HB it looks very unnatural. Mounting after (almost) every fight does not look very "human-like".

      I always thought that adding Cheetah might speed up leveling, maybe.

      Noble idea, but it's not optimal :/ Since HB can't detect mobs fast enough or react to your surroundings and issue CC commands before fights so you would always end up dazed every fight/travel.
      But if there's a way to implement it, i'm all for it ^^

      Its good idea, but until we have the ability to detect and react to mobs OUTSIDE of combat its not possible.

      I think the most important thing would be the movement control. Hunters are easily broken by improper movement, and Honorbuddy's movement control isn't quite perfect on its own.

      It should move away from the current target, but not if it is targeting the hunter (unless it is CC'd). As a result, both pet control and CC would have to be well-done to make movement smooth.

      I was running mixed-WSG last night, and noticed a lot of weird actions. The hunter would stop following the target, and just stand in place and shoot. The target would go out of range and he would just keep standing there. Maybe some more robust PvP support?

      Also, support for first aid and the herbalism HoT would be nice.

      Would love a hunter class I can run in pvp with confidence.

      I have a lot of those problems.

      A person would turn the corner and my hunter will just follow him thru the wall trying to shoot instead of following and getting in sight

      Line of Sight is an issue with almost all CCs.

      You say more robust PVP support but you don't give any examples.

      I've posed the question and we'll see how it goes. But this has been raised by other CC Devs before and we're no further ahead.

      PVP seems to be a big thing for Hunters. I guess I'll need to add more PVP support than I first expected.

      Use cheetah between mobs (but is not possible, as stated before)
      Let pet attack next mob while looting/skinning previous mob (is this possible? maybe a lil difficult)
      Use viper while killing when necesarry, otherwise hawk
      Proper use of traps :)

      This CC will rock :D

      In your pet support remember the "Do char have minor mend pet glyph, if true mend pet else feed pet"
