It appears there is a new patch any status on if its "safe" to bot. =) and I use the word safe loosely.
The new patch is "available" and not live yet THANK GOD. First off it will most likely cause honorbuddy and gatherbuddy to go offline for a couple days for additions and changes and whatnot. Furthermore all of the CC's will need to changed greatly..
umm...in my months of using HB/GB, there have only been 2? times that the bots were down for more than 1 day, and that was because of "Warden 2" and a DDOS(also a recent one but that one was solved quick) which lasted a day then the ISP banned all the IPs which tried to get on at that time, which caused another day or two in delays. but other than those odd balls, the Buddy Dev.s have been really fast about updating the bot. I believe the upcoming patch is 3.7, not the 4.0.1 some are suspecting(it's on pre download or somthing) so it's probably not going to be a major game changer. just my 2cents -HoH
The patch coming is the 4.0 patch if you read the bar at the bottom of the blizz downloader it stated it is 3.xx to 4.0 patch so this will be all the cata stuff with out the world changes i.e. talent specs some spell changes for a more comprehensive list check out mmo they have a nice blue post about it all
If your refering to the download thats available now.. that is the beginning of the 4.01 patch. I would HIGHLY suggest you all start reading up on it as its the pre-cataclysim patch and will be implementing ALOT of changes to the game. Pleease continue to BOT, if it is decided that the new patch in unsafe the Admins will turn off the Auth server and you will not be able to bot. There will always be a message if they turn the auth server off.
