Hello I've recently started my second year of Uni, just as MoP has landed.. and I've realised that when I have the time to play WoW all I'm doing is grinding daily quests. Basically I no longer have the time to keep on top of the mundane aspects of the game, but I really want that cloud serpent drake and so on. I don't need gold (make enough flipping items using Remote AH when I'm in uni), I just need a few extra hours of time to get things done. So the obvious solution to me was to check out botting. HOWEVER, I have a 5-year-old account with characters holding tremendous sentimental value to me. I have about 10k achi points and a few rare mounts that I would hate to lose. About 4 years ago a friend of mine was permabanned for botting his fishing (he did leave it on through school, though). Now I'm really twitchy that even by visiting this site, Blizz will sniff me out and smack me with the banhammer. But the allure of botting is just too much, it's unfair how much I have spent on my account over the years in gametime and yet I'm being overtaken in every aspect of the game because I can't be in two places at once. Basically I'm setting up a list in my head of all the things I need to do in order to not get caught, and running it by you guys to see what is necessary and what is just my paranoia. 1) Bot only when necessary I've worked out that in order to do everything I wish to do, I'll need about 3/4 hours of bot time per day. Of this, I'm splitting it up by the hour to focus on certain things. Farming rep items for one hour, farming mats for professions for another hour then farming honor for the remaining hour. I don't want to bot my characters to death, this sounds way too risky to me and I'm not greedy. I only need as much time as I used to have to play. 2) CONSTANT VIGILANCE I'll be botting only at times when I can monitor my toon. In Uni I'll have my laptop in the lecture with me. If I decide to bot when I'm going somewhere I can't take my laptop, I'll try set up Remote Desktop on my galaxy tab or something. If this doesn't work I just won't bother. 3) Realism Talking in guild chat is probably a good idea while I'm botting. Like I said in point 1, I won't be farming for 10-12 hours a day, so realistic gaming patterns won't be an issue. I'm also going to look at getting that AFK addon. I'm not really sure what the best ways are to convey realistic behaviour, so if anyone has any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them. 4) CONSTANT VIGILANCE - IRL MODE I'm fairly sure Blizz don't install spyware on your PC but I don't 100% trust that idea so using my laptop to visit here. Like I said, paranoid. I won't be talking about how I'm botting to any of my friends. Not that I don't trust them, but word could accidentally spread and there are jelly haters out there. Not posting screenshots anywhere regarding my botting activities (I heard about that watermarking thing they do). I'm using a ***** and different email to register here and buy my key, because what if HB gets a court order to provide our emails/IPs to Blizz? Alright, I can't think of anything else right now. I'm sure I'll think of something else once I start using HB and getting used to the ways of the bot. I have read the guides in this forum regarding safe operating procedure and stuff, what I'd like to know is if I'm being irrational. Based on how I will be using HB, does it look like I'll probably be okay? Anyone got any success stories from botting on your main account? Please don't tell me any bad times experiences Damn, just thought, what if WoW has a keylogger embedded? Not buying HB now, forget I said anything Blizzard please. jk.
You wrote in the wrong section and for sure there are a lot of success stories ^^ If you are frightend to loose your account then DO NOT BOT! We're trying everything to make it secure but there is never a 100% guarantee. Botting is against Blizzards EULA and it does not matter if you do it 5 minutes or 24h's a day. For sure botting 24h's is more risky but that also depends on what you do and how good your bot setup is. So a bot can help you doing the things you want but it there will always be a risk ^^ I think it is important to tell you and to be honest.
Thanks for the fast reply. I thought I might have put it in the wrong section, wasn't really sure so I wrote in the one I'd been reading the guides in. I think I'll give it more reading and thought before I use HB, especially so I can set everything up properly if I do choose to bot.
I've been botting for the past 4 years, haven't even formatted the computer in these 4 years, I've used Pirox, and now I'm using HB. HB is better then Pirox. Never been banned with Pirox, never been banned with HB. Do like 30k or 40k with your main, and then buy a botting account, play with both, but only bot on the one you bought. This bot is also, again better then Pirox, since it's more humanlike, except now on BG's, which they are fucked, other then that, it's very human like, and it does quests, so I wouldn't worry that much. Just bot, and be realist when botting, bot for 1 to 8 hours a day, and if you are botting 12h+, do it on your bot account, not on an account you don't want to lose.
Here is some info from the last... Idk how long it's been since I started botting. Atleast since I was 12 and I'm 21 now... So. Anyways. "Will I get banned" Yes and no. Depends on what your botting what your doing with your bot and how you go about your botting. When you start out. Your going to be bad at it. Like a game. Over time you will learn ways of making yourself less "Botlike" and be better at it, Thus lowering your chance of being banned. And the first rule of botting is never ever think your safe. When you do you get sloppy and get banned or you do something stupid like bot for 3 days strait and get banned like I did at one point. Lulz. But... The chance of blizzard detecting you is kinda slim with HB with the way they inject and don't inject (from what I understand). The chance of getting reported for using a public profile is much much x 100 time's more likely. And sad to say... It's norm another botter. If your not in it for gold then you should have a slim chance of getting banned. But you never know. I don't bot for gold anymore. And have not gotten banned since. Just be safe. And I hope you get what your looking for. This IS the best bot on the market and the one with the best rap sheet next to memory bots. Good luck. Allen,,,
Pretty much what was said - if you are scared to loose your main account, don't bot on it. You only have to be caught getting "stuck" somewhere as you walk away from the computer to get a drink or you aren't watching when you're in a lecture and for someone to see you and report you. Rep is hard because it's not like you're botting for ore/herbs/skins to make gold from, but you're better off just doing the hard yards unfortunately and getting a bot account to make some gold off if you're also worried about having no gold.
