I am leveling another farmer and have found out that gatherbuddy seems to be outperforming honorbuddy in overall xp per hour. I noticed the difference around level 78 but really didn't pay that much attention before, so i am not sure when difference occurred or if it is just a function of no one farming northrend nodes and them being so plentiful atm. The interesting part is that at level 79 i purchased some cata gear off the ah, cause those greens are so op in northrend. My xp per node went up by almost 200 xp per node. It is not rested xp either. The only difference is the upgrade in the ilevel of my gear. I have been tracking the xp these last few levels to see if I preferred gb verse hb and that is how I noticed. Is this a bug or legit?
the xp you gain from the node is based on a certain percentage of your exp and some calculation to do with the node level but yes it is a lot faster to level 77+ from mining and herbalism well from my experience anyway
bollocks, thought of an ez test. Took off some gear and the xp did not change. Wonder why I am seeing an increase in xp per node?
I leveled 80-82 just by mining/herbing in northrend, it was much faster on my high pop realm to do it there as the zones were virtually empty, whereas in the new zones, it was plagued by ganking (pvp server) and underground teleport hackers. I also started to lvl another herbalist, and ended up getting a whole level from 81-82 by gathering 1-450, which I did in the old world and Outland, and only went to northrend once i had already hit 450.
I've leveled 5 characters from 80 to 85 since Cat went live with just GB since it is indeed fast leveling and it kept me out of the crowded ground areas of the new zones. Really love getting XP off nodes
