This is still beta version and no settings yet. I wanted to hear a little from people that know how to holy priest heal, b/c i have always done disc. Right now it starts out in Serenity. If 4 people get below 65, it switches to sanctuary. If less than 4 people are above 80, it switches back to serenity.
Would it be a possibility to have an option for Holy Word usage depending on a GUI setting of tankhealer or aoehealer? Also perhaps an option to decide if sanctuary is cast near the tank or the healer. Thanks for the great CC's.
Yeah, to be honest. I didn't know if holy priests used one or the other, or switched freely between them in fights.
In 25 LFR it's just an aoe free for all. In 10 man normal it really depends on your raid composition and the individual boss Mechanics. Generally i find it's better to have sanctuary always available and only use serenity if you are specifically asked to heal the tank. Do you have room in your inbox? SVN updated. Think a tank selection problem in ultraxion fight is fixed. Started a Holy Priest settings file. edit: This CC went from being my bastard kid to being awesome. I just busted out 37k on Ultraxion. It was about 30% of the healing done.
SVN updated. I'm doing away with trying to keep track of parties for Prayer of Healing. Its a pain in the ass and if the lists aren't constantly updated, Prayer of Healing probably wouldnt work. So its a simple check for AOE healing and cast PoH on the lowest health person. I think the small amount of inaccuracy is not as important as possible losing a spell for an encounter. So this CC is looking pretty decent for now. Just a couple more things to add. Now to switch over Disc stuff and make a Druid CC
I did using Jasf10/Ama 's Methods and coding. It wasn't ment for public consumption. Much better if you use the Holy Priest with NoobRage as it will be better coded, more extensive and supported.
Thanks man, That is really close to what I came up with. I see your renew is lower down in priority than mine. I might move mine down, renew is sorta annoying to think about where to put. Right now I have it coded the same as PW:shield for disc. (HP<# or have aggro) So holy priests should use PW: Shield?
Usually i try to keep renew up on tanks , renew for small amounts of raid damage where you have enough time b4 more raid damage for it to run it's duration and putting a couple on raid members just b4 aoe is incoming. In lfr it just ends up as overhealing. PW: Shield is best used for the 60% movement bonus for 4 seconds. If there is a disc priest in your group don't use it as there's is much better. If you are doin 10 man normal/heroic you may end up as a tank healer and then you would use it when you know there is a large hit incoming or on cooldown if mana is above 60%. I think having it cast on aggro works fine with the option to turn it off. R u able to identify all tanks to refreh renew on them both? I think only cast greater heal if you have 2 stacks of serendipity or renew is up on the target and put renew b4 greater heal.
Aoe spread Something that might interest you Ama. Here's a spreadsheet i made for aoe healing. View attachment HolyP.zip I used the exact rotation from this to make an aoe heal and got 49k hps , 41.5% healing done and 23.6% overhealing on ultraxion. I used the old methods for prayer of healing. It's based purely on casting the highest hps spell available.
Everything below is observed in AV. Sometimes gets locked in a lightwell loop, it will not consider anything else until it has successfully placed a lightwell. Also it seems to take a very long time to decide to heal, I've watched 2 or 3 die on my raidframes before it starts to heal. This might be a HB thing dunno. Doesn't use Prayer of Mending at all. Sometimes when I have an enemy player targeted it keeps trying to cast Holy Wood: Sanctuary on him, and pretty much doesn't do anything else until I die. When all that ranting it over with When it works, it is on fire....! Log from the last AV attached.
