Official Blue post about the HERB/MINING NERF ( INTENTIONAL********) Mining and Herb spawn rates in Pandaria have been reduced by approximately 50% in patch 5.1, and this is indeed an intended change. These are in addition to the hotfix that was applied in 5.0.5 to lower the spawn rate of Ghost Iron. In all of these cases, the reduction was prompted because the resources were too abundant, resulting in ore and herbs being undervalued, and therefore the effort that our herbalists and miners put in to collect each node. We?ll be monitoring the situation, though, and should the current rates prove to be too low then we?ll make further adjustments as necessary. Source : Herb Nerf? - Forums - World of Warcraft
I know most people on the wow forums hate QQers and I'm sure most people here do too, but.....Why does blizz have to lie, justify and hide things from us at every fucking turn? It's completely ridiculous not only to us botters, but to the hard working vanilla players. It's hard enough trying to turn a profit while botting, and now they're just making it even harder for the people who don't bot. Yet another stupid, unthoughtful attempt at fixing a problem that can't be fixed. +1 For you blizz. Sorry for the rant, I just hated being in the dark about this for 3 days.
Noo! There goes making herbs to shoulder enchants... Well hope the inks sell nicely, or have to figure out something else...
it really is better for botters because only botters will be able to get that a lot of herbs/ores with the value being higher (you need to wait for the delay of about a week for the price to reflect the new changes).
I was using one of gatherit's profiles earlier and it was getting me quite a few nodes of green jade leaf. While it's certainly not what we're used to, you can still mill the shittier herbs and make the enchants. Just sell the starlights and golden lotuses that comes with the nodes and make enchants.
A really shitty fix IMO. Pretty much they sent an F-Bomb to the normal players, trying to punish the botters, while affecting the WHOLE community instead. This is sad really. All this did is give us higher values on our herbs. And now instead of prospecting I might actually sell my ore. Happy that I had about 3000 gems stock piled on my JC before this, here comes a huge wave of money!
It is and it isn't: remember that the longer you bot herbs/ores using Gatherbuddy the higher chances there are of tripping server side detection and/or getting reported...
Yea I agree, it's both good and bad. Good for prices, bad because there will be less farmers and the players will be more vicious in reporting bots, definitely a time to play it safe and not go over board. You didn't read the next post, with him saying he spoke too soon. It was indeed nerfed. Herb Nerf? - Forums - World of Warcraft
I don?t see the problem. Reducing global market quantity of a commodity which you have unlimited and free access to? Yes, please.
