Like Bossland wrote in his official statement after the last banwave, they where not sure how HB got detected but they made changes to their tripwire server to hopefully prevent it from happening again. Sadly it didn't help and it happend again, I'm not angry in any way for this, well sure it's salty that it happend but I have noone to blame but myself for botting. I've played WoW sience beta and in the first banwave my main account (over 10 years played) got banned for 6 months, but I made a new account on the same bnet and off I went on the same path again This time it was the new account that got a 6 month ban (I still haven't touched my main account so it's still without gametime but not banned). No matter how Blizz has detected HB (legal or not (breach of privacy with reading memory outside of what they are allowed)) doesn't really matter, we all knew what we where geting into once you start botting. I'm sure this isn't the end of HB, it will surely be back but for me it's most likely the end.
Yup, I agree, in the end it's our fault. The only thing preventing a ban is not botting at all. But having this second huge banwave within only 7 months is devastating to be honest. I agree, it may not be the end, but I feel like this 2nd wave was the final nail in the coffin for a lot of people, myself included. There's just no way to put any effort into botting WoW anymore, at least not with the current state of the bot and the game itself. On to other things now.
What i wonder is, Do just be boted accounts get banned or suspended/flagged? or can a non botted acc also be flagged, the acc i play legal on and not using bot?
Accounts that you played legally on should be fine. However, there have been several reports of people who *claim* they haven't botted on an account at all and it was hit.
Hm ok, then this is the end of my road on HB, i cant put my main acc on risk anymore, not after this big hammer and it feels like they are a long way ahead of us atm.
