The account that got banned dumped everything in the Guild Vault. At the time of the ban all 5 tabs were completely filled with Elementium Ore, Pyrite Ore, and gems. 8) Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods? No 9) Was your account involved in gold selling? US The reason they gave me: World of Warcraft -- Account Closure Notification -- Exploitative Activity Found‏ Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy. I appealed the ban saying that I farmed for myself with no intention to selling it for "real-world" currency, and that I use the mats to level professions and purchase new gear for my character. I got unbanned about 6-8 hours later. Here's part of the answer they gave me after I appealed: The Terms of Use state that you will not "...modify or cause to be modified any files that are a part of the Game Client or the Service in any way not expressly authorized by Blizzard" or "...use cheats, automation software (bots), hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software designed to modify the World of Warcraft experience..." Due to a second thorough review of the circumstances involved in this account action, we have made the decision to modify the previously communicated penalty. This additional review took into consideration a variety of factors including the history and standing of this account. Please understand that should another incident arise in the future, it is possible that a different outcome will be reached. If the previously issued action resulted in the closure of this account, the account has been reopened and access restored. Should any action be required in order to regain access to this account, an additional email will be sent from an @blizzard.com or @battle.net email address with further instructions. If no additional correspondence is received, you should be able to access this account using the password that was valid before the account closure.
Uldum 24/7 is just begging for a ban. On my med-pop server, the regular farmers will notice/report you, on my other full-pop server, you would get reported for just being there in the first place.
I wonder if there's a way to set up a script that automatically contains any new OP that contains the words "uldum" and "ban" into a sub-subforum called "no shit you got banned."
