I haven't botted in months! About a month ago they accused me of botting and I got my first 72 hour ban. I tried to appeal it but I got a generic response half way through the 72 hours, "An additional review of the action has been completed. We have confirmed our initial findings, and the action will not be reversed or changed." So I did my time and then when I was able to log back in I was actually farming cloth the legitimately way for only an hour at a time and then would do lfr, arenas, dailies or whatevever then go back and do another hour. If people whispered me I would respond and also talk in guild chat. Trying to stay as active as possible to not be mistaken for a bot. Then 3 days ago I got an email saying, "***NOTICE OF LICENSE TERMINATION** Offense: Use of Bots or Third-Party Automation Software. Blizzard has terminated this World of Warcraft license after identifying the usage of bots or other cheat software." I tried to appeal this one a bit more in depth and yet they just respond with "Thank you for your continued correspondence. After a thorough final review of the action taken against this license, we have arrived at the same conclusion. The action will not be reversed or changed under any circumstances." What a bullshit response for something I haven't done. Is there anyway to appeal this in the fact that they don't seem to be putting in much effort to really investigate this? How can they detect a 3rd party software when I haven't opened my bot in months? Any response with information would be greatly appreciated! P.S. I've been a loyal customer to Blizzard for 5 years and haven't had any issues until recently.
I would not be surprised in the slightest if Blizzard kept archives and ran sequence scripts looking for identical patterns, node picking patterns, (Kickz) specific quests ran... I botted for a full 14 months from 11/11 - 1/13 never having it up for more than 3 hours at a time (90 min usually) doing everything you can think of...cloth grinding, skinning grinding, kickz questing (several toons), herb/ore farming, pet farming, etc. I just hope after 7 months of not touching it they won't ban me after all this time. I don't think they will, but it will be of noone elses fault but my own if I do get retrobanned for what I've done. So don't say what a bullshit response...you should be thanking them that you got to play on that account for the few months after you stopped botting. I thank you Blizzard for not banning me yet
