1)Were you using Honorbuddy, Gatherbuddy or both on the account?: Honorbuddy - GB2

2)Which version (and Beta or Release)?: Release

3)If so, when was the last time?: About 8 hours before this posting.

      4)What profile were you using?: Evilnipple's - The Heartland - Mining profile - v1.2 - NO MONKEYS

5)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname: Singular

6)What plugins are you using?: TidyBags

7)How many hours per day did you bot for?: 10 for the last 2 days, maybe 6 prior to that.

8)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot?: About 15-20%.

9)How many auctions per day did you have?: I've been posting about 32 per day lately. The last batch was posted immediately before my ban which leads me to believe it may have been a ban from flooding the market not from botting. I don't bot the AH postings.

10)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods?: No

11)Was your account involved in gold selling?: No, though I did trade some to my mains right before the ban and it's fine.

      12)EU or US realm?: US

13)Is the banned account a Scroll of Resurrection or an actual paid account?: Actual Paid

Currently have a ticket in, I'll update this ticket when I hear back.

Laundry list of no-no's here, including leaving GB2 unsupervised. What did the email from Blizz say - 3rd party programs or abuse of the economy?

I honestly didn't pay attention until now as to what the offence was but I just checked and it was "Abuse of the Economy". So it apparently didn't like me flooding the market, which is usually something I never do but lately I had a lot of free time and they were selling really well. I think it was from me adding the items into the AH in a great quantity right after my last auction cleared. I won't do that again I suppose and I'll keep it to smaller units. I was actually just wondering if selling bars over trade would be better. Find the AH price, sell them for less directly to the buyer. Anyone ever have luck with that? This is probably the first legitimate time I've been caught though the GM did mention something about a previous offence but the only other offence I'd have on my account would've been name infractions from back in BC and a few kinky things said in trade chat.

Either way, I've been unbanned now and I've got 72 hours to poke around on my main till this alt account comes back. I'm thinking I'll set up my spare PC with a *** on a totally different account for future safety.

Edit: Interesting tidbit. I just remembered something that freaked me out a little but and it may be absolutely nothing but right before it happened I noticed from my second toon which was right next to the one that got banned that a level 25 orc wearing nothing more than was seemed to be the default level 1 gear. This orc spawn not too far away and walked right on top of my character, stopped, and then walked away a few seconds later and logged out back in the same spot. It was literally 30 seconds to a minute later that my character was banned. Not sure if it's related or not but man it makes me go O.O'

But you still got hit. If you want to be reckless like that, a ban is inevitable. Some of us want to try and preserve the accounts we bot on instead of throwing away money every few months to buy new ones.

Another interesting note is that I realized my original ban was for: Use of Bots or Third-Party Automation Software while it seems it was converted to: Abuse of the Economy once it was switched to a 72 hour ban.

Ah, I think that I was thinking that you meant something else, not sure what I was thinking that day.
