The same thing happened to me yesterday, i was botting herbs in jade forest and was banned for hacking a few hours later while i was in the middle of a raid.
yes, gatherbuddy for 12+ hours a day every day is a quick ban. there is no way to avoid it. the only way it can be done anymore is on accounts you don't care to lose and you run it as much as possible for as long as it lasts, so you make more gold than it cost to buy the account.
yea its pretty ridiculous. I will just buy another account while its on sale if I can't get unbanned. Anyone have any advice?
It's been a while since I played WoW or used HB but am getting ready to start up again. I never had any problems, the key is to just be smart and make yourself look as much as a player as normal. I tend to watch my bots as they work, I have two monitors, one with the bot and the other doing other things. If a player whispers you, whisper back, talk in guild, whisper friends and don't let your bot run for to long of a period. I would only run mine for about 4 hours then log for a bit then come back on and do another 4 hours. Also, change up what you do, go from gathering resources to leveling a toon or leveling up a trade skill.
