so to sum up the template that is stickied, i sold gold on my account via guild bank deposit/had him withdraw and i recieved this email just now (i sold the gold like 1-3 days ago): English speaking customers: Please refer to the start of this mail Para los clientes espa?oles: Por favor vayan hasta el fin de este email ***Notice of Account Closure*** Account Name: Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy. Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment. We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: Blizzard Support The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at Blizzard Entertainment: Blizzard Legal Documentation. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure. If you believe your account was compromised, please submit an in-game petition or fill the contact email form at http://us.blizzard.com/support/webform.xml?locale=en_US. Our support staff will assist you as soon as possible. Reply This is what you send them in a ticket. Not completly like typed, but type something like this Please tell me, when have I ever sold or bought gold? I would like to see some logs on that guys. This is a false accusation. I have played this game now and then since betas. I have been guild leader for a pretty large guild that did Lich King and all heroic bosses upto lich king when WOTLK was the expansion. Ive been playing this game as a faithful young man. And I get suspended on my accounts for what? For selling gold I do not have? lol I think this is unfair, I was ingame when I got disconnected. And I try to log in again, and this is what I get? For paying months after months for years. Maybe I should just quit my accounts, seems you guys have little to do these days, to suspend random people. Atleast I dont know what I have done wrong? This is what you get back Hello "NAME", Many thanks for your patience while I got back to you in regard to the recent action taken on your account. My apologies for the confusion surrounding this, but after reviewing your account, I'm pleased to inform you that we have now overturned the action, and removed any associated warnings or suspensions. This action was taken as a security precaution, however you'll be able to login as normal now, and continue playing without trouble. I'm sorry again for the inconvenience this caused, but I hope that helps clear it up for you. If you have any further issues or concerns, simply reply to this ticket and add the additional information.
thanks for the help. before you replied i called and asked them why my account was permanently banned and they told me blah blah gold selling etc, then eventually said he'd escalate the ticket for me for them to investigate, if that doesn't work i guess i'll send something like that in and hope for the best.
the amount doesn't matter, it was 33k but you shouldn't be scared because there was a GM looking at my account for a completely different reason, and i guess he found that along the way.
This.. When i unloaded 500,000g the account was disabled within hours. Which was expected.. I have been selling 100,000 at a time now, once a week and no bans have come. Curious to find out what the amount is that sends them into a panic..
I sold 200k two weeks ago, and didnt get banned. I sold 200k this weekend and 2 accounts got banned (now unbanned) but it was today at 2:40 pm EST. So I'm not sure, one of the accounts that got banned only contributed 25k, another was 110k, and the rest were fine. Now that I think about it, the 110k account was a f2f trade cause the chinese didnt want to GB that one.. that makes sense now.. but the 25k one was a guild bank invite (to my GB, they removed it). So who knows.. but I did all GB withdraws except for the 110k f2f. My previous 200k two weeks ago had more f2f trades though..
