Hey guys, I've made three variants of this profile which will farm Sealed Tome of the Lost Legion, required to start the green fire quest chain. I did this because I found they have become quite valuable as people hate to farm them and they are no longer mass farmed, and also because the existing profiles I found did not work for me. Your choice of profile will depend on if you are an engineer with a glider tinker, if you wish to use the JumpForward behavior provided by AknA here, and if you have completed the quest which causes you to transform by Progenitus. If you have done the quest you will want to take the "No JumpForward" profile, which also does not use the glider. You need to be on the Isle of Thunder to start these and you need to have done the scenario which starts on the boat, and moves you into the village (or mail and vendor code will destroy you). Special credit is due to AknA for the JumpForward behavior posted in 2013 and still working! Moved to SVN here. You may want to try Nuok's realm hopping plugin too
So after testing the profile I've come to a couple of conclusions: - it moves to the spawn points without problems (unless you use a silly big mount). - it does skip 2 or 3 of the rare spawns (can't remember their names, will adjust when I find them again). - it's impossible to find a rare spawn, let alone tag it. The reason for this with realm hoppers/campers who snag it the second it spawns and kill it in 5 seconds or less. The bot wastes so much time running around the isle 24/7 in hopes to find a spawn, which it eventually won't due to how they are camped (and how cross-realm zoning works.). This was tested on both peak times and non-peak times (a 14h loop) to see how the profile behaves. A solution could be to add realm-hop support when reaching each "rare spawn point" and stay there until all realms have been visited and continue. Another solution would be to have 6-10 Warlocks all on a specific spawn point and hope a rare spawns on your spot. Cross Realm Zones have ruined the entire farming aspect, and it's incredibly hard to find a good spot which is not overcamped/farmed already. (Unless you're in current-expansion zones). Nice profile nonetheless, but in my opinion not very useful for Realm Groups with a lot of opportunity to realm-hop. (Brazilian ones might work).
Somewhat true if you are on a US realm... Only one rare spawn is missed which is the in-door spawn of molthor who can also spawn outside. It may appear not to be checking one rare but it runs into range and checks if it is up, it does all the rares. The exception being progenitus if you aren't using a jumping profile. I made it and use it on oceanic, since releasing this the item was flooded on AH. I have farmed several. On US realms I wouldn't be surprised if farming behaviour is different, on oceanic these rares are usually up, and you get 3 - 5 per loop. On oceanic the realmhop and crossrealmassist addons are more or less useless and you would be lucky to hop once to a single realm in 15 minutes. I found Nuok has made a plugin here that should automatically realm hop for you based on your settings
