Firstly, I apologise if this is the wrong forum. Please move the thread if so. Secondly, I apologise if this has come up before .I haven't been able to find anything. To the topic on hand, I've noticed in using the Questing bot to level characters that ranged classes almost exclusively run straight into melee range before engaging a mob. I've tested it with mage, warlock and hunter so far. There doesn't seem to be anything flagging them as ranged classes. I've been through all the config settings I can find but there doesn't seem to be anything that allows for a pull range, only for pull more. Is there something very simple that I'm missing here? Has this topic already been talked to death? Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry, Tony. Should have remembered that. Last fight in the log was an example of it happening. Char ran past the mob by some distance, then when combat mode was entered, turned around and went all the way back to melee range before dismounting. View attachment 608 2016-10-18 20.50.txt
Done. That seems to have solved the engage distance problem. Thanks very much. Two things that seem to have been introduced, however: 1. When aggroing a mob unintentionally and mob closes to melee range, my char doesn't move back to avoid any sort of AOE/cleave/other. Maybe this is old and I'm just blind? 2. Twice when a mob aggros due to proximity, my char doesn't engage in combat. Switching pet to assist/defend works because the pet attacks and then the bot assists. Log file attached. Second to last fight in the file was one where I had to manually click the mob to start the routine. View attachment 6888 2016-10-19 22.38.txt
