Hello guys! So, here is the thing: I was wondering why blizz doesnt just remove CTM from the game? Because, lets be honest, who uses it besides bots? I mean, if they were really smart, they could put people using CTM in a "suspiscous" state where they are more watched. So, my question to you guys is: Why the hell havent they done it yet? It would cripple, if not kill, honorbuddy right?
i use ctm when goofing off and just using my mouse to play lowbies. bind attacks to the scroll wheel and run around with my mouse. yeah, same could be done with holding both mouse clicks, but ctm works too. a few years ago they showed wow playing on a tablet, using ctm on the touch screen, i dont know if that was just a demo, or if they killed the project, but im sure you can find videos somewhere on the web. and as far as killing hb? doubt it. devs would just find a different way of programming. the 'move pad' looks promising. im sure there is api to control it or use lua or whatever they can invent.
For what reason, if i may ask? Because i cant really se a point in using it, i always end up turning it off because it annoys the shit outta me EDIT: Sry, didnt see #3 post. Thank you for answering, i have been wondering for a bit But as for more "high level" use, do anyone use it when not just slacking a little?
for higher level raiding, hell no, that shit will get you killed faster than fake fire. Enyo has an option to turn it off, but its shit if ctm is already on. there is a plugin here on the forums to turn off ctm when you log out, not sure if it keeps it off while you are playing. ctm is a big part of the questing, you can use the myctm behavior to move from point a to point b. but the moveto behavior seems to work fine too. as default, ctm really doesn't get in my way, but on my main raiding toon, its the devil, straight from hell.
I use CTM regularly when playing by hand and moving from point to point. Especially when flying, just click in the distance in the direction you wish to go and set back for a minute or more. I have never gotten used to using the keyboard to move.
