hey guys, I was botting in a small area (won't do that again) and another botter reported me to try and eliminate his competition. I know this because he stopped to tell me I shouldn't bot and I can only assume that he reported me. My question is, do you think I can avoid the ban if I move the toon to another account under the same battle net or will Blizzard ban the new account the character is transferred to?

Usually it takes more than just one person's report to get you banned... how long were you botting for? Did you leave the bot unattended?

Any updates on this? Did your toon end up getting banned?

"I know this because he stopped to tell me I shouldn't bot" - Doesn't seem to be any indication that hes a botter unless you saw him botting, like I say and everyone else says, make your own profiles.

I agree. Lots of people who don't bot can easily recognize botters, especially if you're doing the same thing repeatedly for a long time (in your case, grinding a small area).
