Hey There everybody with the recent events going on with Reborn Buddy, I was hoping that this would be a good time for the developers of Bosslands to get a harder look at how strong the Reborn Community truly is. I think it would be in good interest for the Reborn Community to reach out and bring the 3rd Party Developers whom we all know into the fold and start advertising these AMAZING "Don't even sugar coat it" AMAZING products into the BuddyStore for Reborn Buddy. There are truly exceptional Developers out there Mastahg & Bossland and I think with the way that your current BuddyBots are going Reborn could be a beacon of true value if you open up and accept these developers and warmly as you did with Honorbuddy I think it would make this Bot stand out. There are alot of competitors out there and they are going in Value with every developer that decides to jump ship and pick "them" over "you". I have seem a huge community on the competitors discords and I know they only use Reborn for a certain Crafting Developers Botbase. --- What does the Reborn Community think about this idea I know it's been throw out there and into the wood chipper more times then we could possibly count by now. But I think "THIS" particular time would be "THE" time to consider evolving.
ComDevs/Third Party Devs wont bother with this if Bosslands takes a HUGE chunk of the profits from them, Bosslands needs to stop being greedy little sacks of manure stains, and realize that these Dev ADDS a lot of value to RebornBuddy and they deserve to be treated a lot better and rewarded with greater incentives (free keys for consistent work done, less commission taken from their profit)
That's more then reasonable, 30% of $10 is $3 which isn't that much if they are selling a lot of their products.
Well if it's alright with you then develop some plugins and botbases. Thing is, it didn't fit with a lot of the community devs well which is why Protosynth came about and why devs remained independent after its fall. I doubt too many people would be very eager right now anyway with Bossland sapping more of their money away after they went and deactivated a bunch of Lifetime keys with zero notice.
Oh yeah, I remember Protosynth. Didn't Omni sell each of his products individually for a life time and then change that to monthly plans which were even more outrageous. The products there were subpar at best and you look at the one developer who just reskinned Ultima Routine and sold it and people bought it so he had to shell out for that too? Be real, You don't know what you're ACTUALLY talking about get educated. Kid.
i really only have two bits of advice everyone knows who the main devs are that bring business to RB they should have lifetime keys without them rb dose not have much to offer second your monthly fee is to high compared to competitors.
Well if you get the 6 month sub, then you essentially getting $5/mo + you already own alot of addons for Reborn.
true the 6 month is fine deal but not the 1 month and i dont want to buy 6 cuz i dont know if the devs are going to stay with rb you lost the good free cr shinra right away.and most people are waiting to see what lizbeth going to do.
Exactly my issue, they're not really all that worried about the users getting the time they paid for. Hell I can't trust them not to up the price midway through the 6 months and say because of the users the lifetime key shit lost them they need to adjust 6 month pricing to be inline with the 1 month, and cancel our keys saying, 'you got more than enough for what it cost'. Can't be trusted, we didn't even get a notice until a day or two AFTER they were shut off.
atm with the lack of trust i now have i dnt want to renew until i know whats going on and defo not sure about the new monthly price or even if it will be changed or canceled randomly. shame i loved this bot also all the amazing work the active devs do
Honestly the main issue is Bossland getting sued into the ground by Blizzard and Bossland in turn passing the bill onto the rest of us. That's why lifetime subs disappeared and that's why their store implementation (which never even made it to Reborn) had high fees IMO. If a proper (low fee) store was officially setup by them years ago I feel like the community would be in a much better position today even with the loss of lifetime subs. Community devs can only develop for free for so long. I would have loved to have kept working on Ultima for free but I'm a married adult with a job and I just ran out of free time to dedicate to it. If it brought in a decent revenue I could consider it a second job and justify spending more time on it but that option just never presented itself. I do miss it though. I still have an unboxed copy of Stormblood sitting on my desk.
