Was curious if anyone has had any success in this, especially with a andriod based phone. I personally am clueless how to set it up but would love to have it working.
I read somewhere around this forum that both iphones and Android based are capable of doing so, through LogMeIn or TeamViewer, can't remember in which thread though.
got a few friends who use their iphones..with logmein or teamviewer..theres another i just cant remember the name, but doesnt require you to use programs, but instead by forwarding ports and just logging in through your phone.
The ones for the android os that you both have posted are not out yet. Logmein is in beta atm, and no clue when teamviewer will be out for the os.
I use VNC for iPhone (i know you have a Droid, but not sure if there is a vnc app in their store), i use JaaduVNC on iPhone (Now called iTeleport) and RealVNC on PC. And works like a charm.
Idk, its pretty simple, in the install it pretty much does everything for you, then go into settings, make a few changes (password etc) then i use no-ip.com to make a dynamic ip address. I type that into iPhone and viola, i view my PC from my iPhone. (there is a lot more to it than that, just google it and a lot of stuff comes up on it. YouTube will help a lot.) If any1 needs further help on this, message me and I would be glad too. (Maybe make a Guide on this?)
My IPhone data usage is 9 gigs this month alone, and that's since june 2nd, because of VNC....so be careful if you're on the limited plan (or getting the new IPhone and think you can save some money on getting the lower data plan)
