There will always be people botting in Bg's, weather it be through HB or another 3rd party bot. It's going to happen.
Having bought another un-named bot right after we got hit with the ban wave, I can tell you that the other one will do AKF BG's all day long. So until every bot company is on the same page regarding the AFK aspect of it, we will always have an eye on us.
Blizz should just shuffle the bots into battlegrounds for bots. The real sport of WoW is now who can program the best bots (CRs, Strategy, etc).
So a Turing test for WoW then? Can an outside observer tell whether this toon is being played by a very good human, or a bot?

agree, remove it. You disable arena with some kind of vague expl but you continue to let your biggest aggro magnet continue. it makes no sense whatsoever and just makes the "remove arena" part a complete joke. Both are competitive, so remove both or allow basic keyboard mashing in both. /thread. Inbefore pve fanboys... idc kai? I dont arena, but if you do something, let it make sense! All for the money, understandable, but dont bullshit us then with some stupid expl.
Nothing has to make sense to you, webhond. HB is a business and they have every right to do whatever they want with their software. And calling random BG's competitive...lol You obviously do care or you wouldn't be bitching in every thread you can about this matter.
I think the problem is that people like to bot PvP against non botters to feel superior when they beat them (see recent qqing about removal of arena). If the tables were evened like you suggest I'm sure it would have far less appeal
I agree. Remove it entirely. No more BG automation. Just allow CR's to be used. If you think about it, the game would be much more enjoyable for both the person using the CR and the rest of the team. All in all you can't make a logic tree think like a human or react like one. Please remove the battleground bot support and only allow CR's to be used in BGs. Thanks!!! So I wanted to take this argument one step further - since this appears to be such a volatile matter I'll try my best to make a logical analogy. Blizz removed flying from WoD entirely, you won't see it come back. Why? It's good for business as it keeps you engaged and slows the consumption of content. (something the bot has undoubtedly contributed to) This allows blizzard to keep the one playing field they have 100% control over fair. The same can be said for Arenas and BGs. By removing the botting ability and only allowing CR to be used in BG's you are leveling the playing field and (albeit somewhat forcibly) making users commit to actually thinking vs. clicking start and walking away. In my opinion, humbly, I feel the game would benefit all around from the removal of automated BG botting. I'm happy to play devils advocate on this if anyone has another point of view they would like to express.

It's like The Olympics but for 'roid users. All the athletes are steroid or other enhancing drug users. This i would love to see. Chances are high though i never will. Can't say i never will for 100% but chances are slim to fucking none.
