So I've been botting on one account for a month or so and made a guildbank on my AH toon. I have a few RL friends in the bank as well. They're free to take stuff out, profession mats, gold, w/e.. None of them bot, but if my botting account were suspended/banned would they be at any risk for using what I put in there? Also, would anything happen to the bank? Sorry if there is already similar posts, I couldn't find anything about it.

So giving one of my friends GM status, I could essentially use it as a failsafe?

      essentially.

but that doesn't stop a GM from deleting your gold (i've never had it happen)

Might not stop your friends from stealing your gold lmao. Had that happen once, a friend i met over the internet stole it when I used this strategy.

Essentially why I use family members lol. My sister made a dummy DK on my realm to hold GM status for purposes of keeping gold/bags and other valuables safe in the event I was ever captured by the Blizzard Government. So far , I havn't been able to test it , no bans , yet *finds a piece of wood to burn*

I mean, why couldnt they get banned? They're "associated to exploitative accounts" which is a commonly used reason in ban emails.. I made a vanilla account for auction house purposes and invited all level 1s to my guild, then took out 2k on each for specialty bags, but accidently added an extra 0 on one of my lvl 1 withdrawals, but I put it back in immediately and took out 2k instead. 2 hours later I had two farmers banned and the auction house account banned, all on the same battle.net, so they had the same registered name. I fought it and they told me the vanilla was associated to exploitive accounts, fucking 2 hours old.

Doesnt seem like they couldnt stretch that to affect your friends.

Of course they didnt unban the farmers either, assholes.

Yes they could stretch it out to affect your friends but the risk is very minimal. I had 2 accounts using the same guild bank and the account that had the GM was banned. Also a friend who does not bot but would help me sell some stuff from time to time and grab stuff out for his own use was in the guild also and he didnt get the hammer. Since most of the bans are automated now they don't go into a lot of research for it. Those accounts that got the hammer at the same time was more then likely flagged for inspection because of a lvl 1 toon grabbing 20k and that SCREAMS gold sales. Blizz does not have ppl searching for botters. They are a business and that is just not an effective use of their money. To sum it up yes they have a chance of getting banned but it's not large unless you cause it by doing stuff that draws unwanted attention to it.

I would recommend you also make it where Officers can access all tabs/money.. (well set the levels high) and make each account that is in the bank an officer.. while the rest are lower level.. this way if your GM gets banned you can still access the items/gold and clean it out over time and move to another.

      remember... << LIGHT BULB >>

I make two ranks, GM and 2nd rank that can do everything.. that way can reuse no matter if the GM is lost.
