There are so many bans this week should we be worried? Obviously blizzard has done something if they are catching this many people the majority of the posts are due to gatherbuddy so they have definitely figured out how to catch people gathering but I am also seeing quite a few bgbots/leveling thread which has made me stop botting a few characters I was leveling. Can anyone enlighten us on what the deal is?
Honestly its not rocket science for Blizzard to figure out who is botting; sometimes they're on the warpath, sometimes not. But if you've ever botted, I'm sure they can tell once they have a reason to look at your account. The "reasons" are best guesses and speculation on our part.
wel its up to you i wil never stop botting til wow dies or hb goes offline til that time i keep botting and im stil fine most people get hit by sor account or using gatherbuddy to mutch also bgbot is risky i do that manually with lazyraider
This has been the norm - every Thurs. there seems to be a bunch (handful) of people that get the hammer - just another day in this Blizzard!
The thing is, I use the bot on my good accounts to only help get some levels on a new toon or get honor. I don't want to get anything banned. I bot to just save some time not lose everything.
There are two major rules in botting. Never report another botter, and never bot on an account you can't afford to lose. As for the OP's question, I would say no. Anyone who has been botting long enough has seen hundreds of this mini "banwaves". Not detection related, but just saved up bans waiting to be unleashed all at once to scare botters.
Hand a long play time account locked last night fixed with a password reset was using hbrelog any clues ?
I got banned today but I don't think it's some kind of "ban-wave". This happens all the time, and like the smart man above me said: Don't bot if scared to loss your account.
Also banned about 20 min ago. It's a whole new ballgame now, def. not worth botting. Maybe i'll be back next expansion. take care.
