Title. Started using HBRelog to level an alt, and now I can't run HB with just WoW open without going through HBRelog. Makes no sense. EDIT: Keep in mind that HB was working fine earlier with no HBRelog on this toon. I haven't even changed anything. Already set to windowed. Already set to DX9. Hi, Elninost0rm1, Let's try switching the WoWclient from DX11 mode to DX9, and restart the WoWclient. More info here: BosslandGmbH:HelpDesk:Video driver problem If no joy, you've got an interfering program. These articles will walk you through the usual suspects: BosslandGmbH:HelpDesk:AntiVirus InterferenceBosslandGmbH:HelpDeskrograms that Interfere with BosslandGmbH Products Since you imply the problem was a 'sudden onset', your AntiVirus may have updated, and is now causing problems. You should start there first. cheers, chinajade
DX9 already. No programs running that are on that interference list. I don't use AV. This has to be related to HBRelog somehow, but I'm not even running it anymore and now HB won't login unless I'm using HBRelog.
Hi again, Elninost0rm1, Are you running the WoWclient in 'windowed' mode (vs 'fullscreen' mode)? If you're on DX9 already, please try moving to DX11, and see if that makes a difference. If you are not using an AV, then you are running Windows Defender by default. The log you've provided shows either a Video driver issue, or an interfering program. If its not one, it must be the other. There are no other known causes for this problem. cheers, chinajade
Windows Defender is turned off. I don't use any AV to speak of. Yes, I am in Windowed mode. I'll try switching to DX11, but I swear I saw someone complaining about this exact same issue once they started using HBRelog. There are no other variables. My system didn't somehow launch Teamviewer, Vent, Teamspeak, and download and install AV all by itself in the last hour or so.
It's fixed. It was HBRelog. It automatically added the HBRelogHelper plugin, which needed to be removed if HB was able to run on its own, apparently. Kind of sucks, unless I'm missing something with that software. I want to use it, but I don't want to have to add and remove that plugin every time I don't want to use it, but oh well. Thanks.
