Ok so i have couple of questions about bans, multiple accounts and main account. First of all let me say, i have 2 older bot accounts (like 2 years ago), last time i bot with them was about 2 years ago, didn't do that more than week or two then. 88 and 90 lvl's. Now i purchased 2 new battlechest accounts, and leveled them to 85. Mostly what i've ever done with those accounts is: Farming HoL/Gundrak/Botanica, camping Reins of Poseidus, farming some silk cloth, hyacinth macaw, and recently quest leveling and little bit of Essence of Water. Now that i started this thing again like 2 weeks ago, i'm using VMware virtual computers for them. They send money/farming goods to guild bank. One of my main account alt character owns the guild. Guild have roughly over 300 members (about 98% people last online over a year ago). I recently did farm with all of them pretty much nonstop for almost a week, i didn't get banned obviously, and i'm not banned yet. The thing is, i did shut down all of them because i really wasn't sure about some things. First of all i'd like to say i don't give a flying f*ck if they get banned, all i care is my main account. So i did some things that i'm not so sure about when i started this thing again. I purchased game time for older accounts with my paypal that i've used on my main account for some games like Overwatch,Hearthstone card packs, Hots characters etc.. Also namechange and race change in WoW. But im pretty sure i haven't purchased any game time or expansions with this method, only with my credit card which is linked to my paypal. I also made some interractions with my new battlechest accounts, i made mageportal for them and flew them to buy some mop boe greens. Also i gave them some money like 3-5k per dude for the heirlooms, not more. The only way that i've transfered gold and farming goods from them is with guild bank. I haven't done any fancy 500k withdraws, max was like 30k. I'm pretty much stashing my money in the bank, the only thing i'm taking from there more often is farming goods, but not all at the same time. I did bot a very little time with my main like 3 years ago, but not more than couple of hours some mob grinding/poseidus afk and garrison fishing. I didn't get caught. Since then i haven't done any botting on my main, because i was semi-hc raider and i have some pretty rare mounts like swift spectral tiger, feldrake etc, so i don't wanna risk that at all to get banned. The thing is, i'd like to continue my botting journey with those bot accounts, so is my main safe from ban if they get banned ? Does Blizzard do some IP-ban things, how much those interractions with my botting accounts and main account would affect on this? As i said, i don't care if those botting accounts get banned, my mission was to get as much gold as possible as fast as possible. Also i'm botting with virtual machines, and playing normally on my main. Sure there isn't- and shouldn't be any 100% accurate answers, but i think here is some veteran people who knows much more than me about this system. Every answers, tips and tricks are greatly appreciated! Thank you.
IP bans are rare. Interacting with bots does not mean your main is in danger. If your bots get investigated manually then they may trace the gold path to your main. If they do that then your main will get banned from benefiting from bots. Otherwise basic interaction is fine. VM's do not protect against waves but in my experience it protects mass bans of your botting accounts. For example I had 2 vms running with 2 bots each. 1 set went down with bans and the other set was fine. I don't run as many bots as others on here. So mine is a small sample.
Do you have any idea how usually they might investigate manually if i'm not chinese botter with 100 accounts? I'd like to benefit from my bots when they still have gametime, but if there is too big risk to get my main in trouble, i assume i'll have to just let this idea go.
I honestly have no idea how to trigger it. I personally never have had one. I would guess by saying a lot of bots on the same IP getting banned would be a good way. That's just my 2 cents.
