I have been botting ever since HB was released and even in the WoWGlider days....back when the game was actually hard ya know? Well something that I think everyone should think about and something I have noticed happens around every single time Blizz takes action and issues a ban wave IS: The game goes on SALE! When this happens.......you should be aware that a possible banwave is impending! DOOM IS AROUND THE CORNER! As the thread about botting being safe says.....They may have already detected your client days, week or months before the banwave. They put the game on sale because they KNEW they were going to issue the banwave...because Blizz is run soley on shareholders this gives them a reason to "Inflate" subscriber numbers...Lets be honest here...MOST of us did not get banned....we got suspended. Suspensions are very very different from Bans. Blizzard is still able to show their shareholders that you are a current subscriber! Simply because your account is still in "Active" status...and this is all Blizz needs to say "Hey ya see this guy? Hes still paying us to play" So I noticed in the past years that these banwaves/suspensionwaves seem to coincide with a very good anticingly attractive sale Blizzard puts on their game. They mask it with the likes of "Black Friday WoW sale event" Or "Christmas sale, send your friends the gift of WoW" blahdy blahdy blah......so be on the lookout you guys....if you see a sale where they discount the entire game you paid about 100$ for....down to $17.50...suspect that they are brewing up a monster banwave......I know a lot of you guys simply do not read the threads created by the dev team to for-warn you about "Is Botting Safe?" so I am giving you all a little reminder as to understand the reasoning for the banwave and the WHY as to why they did it with suspensions. As far as detection is concerned.....everyone says they do not know exactly how it is detected, however after phone call after phone call I have been told that they do in fact implement spyware into the game client...probably somewhere deep into the games core code that does in fact scan your RAM for anything running/attached to WoW's client. For everyone in the Dev team that went to college for computer science like I am currently doing. I would suggest going all the way back to CIS 101 where it explains RAM, how RAM is structured, how RAM stores its data, and where RAM stores its data in each cell. Figure out how HB is identified within the RAM cell and somehow alter its ID so that it more closely resembles that of an addon...But I honestly think that the answer to their detection methods lies within reverse engineering how the HB client is stored into RAM and maybe altering that to make it less noticeable.

The sales/battlechests are more closely tied to expansion announcements. Not dismissing what you are saying. I am just saying i dont think it is bot related as much as Christmas sales driven
