So like alot of people moving to this game I just got hit by the ban wave in wow. I am wondering if there are alot of bans that go out for botting in this game? I do not intend on botting to sell gil or anything like that, just botting using a CR in pvp an to lvl up so for ingame gain. Also are the CR out for this game good for doing pvp with?

Bans are rare and effectively don't have any impact on the player base unless you're selling or advertising to sell Gil - in these cases, you're pretty much guaranteed to be banned. You can come up with creative ways to profit without having to sell Gil, so as long as you don't sell Gil directly, you're pretty much safe from being banned (although it's not impossible to be banned in FFXIV, it's extremely unlikely). Many people run one or more accounts 24/7 and have rarely, if ever been banned.

Thanks alot for the reply, I am gona try the game legit then buy the bot. I always said to my friends starting wow you should lvl your first toon by hand and after that bot all you like so I will stick to that with FF and see how it goes.

Does RB offer a questing bot to level up? Does it level / train up professions?

there are questing profiles but some of them can be buggy so you will not be able to fully afk them. However if you level up via fate's there are a few plugins that will allow you to afk level up. Its easy to level up mining and botany with orderbot profiles, as for the crafting classes such as goldsmith etc.. there are no profiles that I know of that will level you up.

There are some profiles that automatically craft items for you, I think. Could let that run and craft something stackable overnight, then come back and change it to something higher-level, rinse and repeat.

RB has 'Order Bot', which is the equivalent of HB's 'Quest Bot'. The questing profiles for it aren't as good as Kick's for HB and may need some babysitting, but they'll definitly get the job done.

As for levelling professions it's a bit more complex. Professions in FFXIV are nothing like professions in WoW and take a LOT more work to get to max level. If you can level with leves it's fast, but you only get 6 leve allowances each day (they cap at 100) and you need about 84 to get 1 profession from 1 to 50 (ARR levels, 50-60 came with Heavensward expansion).

There's also a 3rd party market, just like there was for HB before they added the store.

The community is a lot smaller then HB though and there's only 1 core developer behind RB (Mastagh) so it can't do everything you'll want (yet), but what it does it does great. The thing I personally miss most is a Duty Bot (think dungeonbuddy). I switched from WoW to FFXIV just before the first banwave this year and even though I never got banned on WoW I'm not even considering going back to it.
