The plugin's thread is this one: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/exileb...79-plugin-temporary-plugin-running-ledge.html What it used to do, before it stopped working a few EB patches ago, is to reset the ledge from the corners of the map - Rocky and Passage areas. So if you start the bot at the town it wil lgo take the waypoint, go to ledge, run towards Koduku and reset at rocky, after that run the other way in the new instance and reset at the passage. However the plugin stopped working, the guy who made it didn't update and now the bot doesn't have even one good area to grind. I mean... the efficiency of the bot in the Ledge with that plugin compared to any other area was astonishing He constantly kill stuff. While if you run him in Docks his gonna run around twice the time he spends killing stuff. By default the bot should be set if he finds an entrance/exit to another area it should reset from there. Let's say you've put it to grind... Docks. If it finds eh entrance to Battlefront it should reset from there.
Or it could just burn a portal scroll and tp to town when the run is done and reset... Oh wait it already does that! I pick up like 15 portal scrolls in 1 run. This is not an issue. Dev efforts better spent else where.
:/ Eh... Let me waste some time explaining, again, where's the issue so people who don't see it can understand it. When you run ledge with that plugin 80% of the time your bot is hitting stuff. When you run Docks, for instance, 40% of the time the bot is hitting stuff. Duo to the reason that after he clears the area he backchecks little corners if he missed something here and there. So implementing this will higher up the efficiency of the bot TWICE. About the time needed to do this - if a guy wrote a 200 lines plugin that does it I don't think that the devs will need more than an hour or two to implement this functionality as a plugin or inbuild it in the bot. If you are still doubting in the need of this change....
I don't have any of the problems you mentioned. Everything you are talking about can be done by you. None of those files are compiled. Now if YOU can't figure out how to fix that, you should hit up your local community college and take a c++ or VB class. Hell there is even plenty of documentation online to self teach. The devs have already said they will focus on the core and not addons/plugins. This program is not for the novice.
If you think that the intentions of this bot is to be used only from people who studied c++ you are being mislead. Big time.
Tweety is right and the majority of the users can see that. The other guy's idea of taking a class holds no merit. Why should EVERYONE who wants this feature spend HOURS learning C++ when the devs can implement this feature in an hour to improve THEIR bot? It's win/win for all parties involved.
keep in mind it has to be maintained when its implemented, so its not a win/win on all levels. i'd favour with the fact of it being a optinal plugin but i'd also like it being updated, as its outdated. blaming people to take programming classes is a no-go though, i totally agree on that.
Well you know what, I got some time, I think imma learn C++ I think I need to, to be a PRO botter I want to be a PRO botter, run 100s of buddy bots for multiple games. To be able to write my own plugins like giwin, fpsware, and the others do is going to be insane.
It should be a settings in the menus of the bot. Do you want the bot to reset the instance whenever he sees an entrance/exit to another area. That would be way more human looking reset then a constant TP to town.
if you have a lot of free time, go ahead. understanding code + syntax does not only help you whilst botting, it also improves your quality of life in total. => Code.org | Anybody can learn Don't expect to make a living of botting though. Its risky + volatile. If you have questions about code or stuff, you can pm or skype me
Just wanted to point out... all of our bots are written in C# (plugins, CRs, and additional bots are also C#). Not C++. But I still suggest everyone go out and learn some programming (avoid any BASIC-related languages!) And @Tweety; eventually. We have much more important things to do right now, than add an option that really only is useful in 3 zones in the entire game. (All 3 of which, are heavily botted, and GGG watches) It's not a high priority, but it's on our todo list of eventual features. We need to stop the flagging first. (Fairly close to a solution)
Word. Would be awesome if you can share with us what you think is getting the bot caught. I doubt it that releasing information like this will hurt the bot, 'cus after the solution is found they will know you fixed it anyway.
I'd rather not say what the issue(s) is(are). Helps us keep them in the dark, if they don't know what we know!
Can we get some announcement when this is implemented? I gave up on making new accounts to test the new version of the bot until the flagging issue is solved. However once it's solved I am gonna start using the bot again.
Oy chap I dont want to be too harsh with you , but every single post by you has this bitchy attitude it makes me sick. ME ME ME ME ME . Honestly , if you bot , there is a chance to get banned . The fact you want something implemented in the bot , means nothing to the devs while they re bussy with tasks higher on demand / neeed. Do you honestly think if he knew the ETA he wouldnt mention it ? What do you take the developers here for ? Do you honestly think programming or providing a solution to large scale problem is easy ? I do wish it was as simple as that .... Simply put , calm down and wait . The devs have made astonishing progress with EB and i truly love it . I am still running the bot on an account since start and getting currency (Nemesis). If there will be changes , they will inform us
Not following? I asked if we will get any patch notes or whatever so we know when the possible fix of the accounts being flagged for no currency drops is implemented. I am not saying that it's an easy fix, am I?
Majority of your posts contain , do this , do that , implement dis , change that . Ofcourse they will announce any major change or improvement , that a given . The fact you get patches for EB without getting any patchnotes simply shows its being developed and its internals which have very little to nothing in commom with normal user are being changed . If the change influences common user they will make a note of it in there ofcourse . Indeed you didnt claim it was easy (or i cba to look up all your posts , well eighter of those is fine) however your attitude seems a little too impulsive , making assumtions and requests for the developers without thinking for a while first .
-> I don't see anything impulsive there. Because of the lack of patch notes for the patches I am simply asking "if we can get some announcement when it's implemented" so I know about it 'cus I stopped using the bot. Geez. You spammed out the fuck out of this thread, didn't you :/
