I got suspended for 72 for finishing for what I think was a 3 hour rep grind with a daily profile package. I sat there and watched it the whole time. (I hadn't used the bot in a while and even then I really only minor things like farm and a lil pet leveling.) But, if they're banning for overzealous interrupting that would be the reason.

Would it be advised to submit an appeal for the 72h ban or should I just let it pass quietly? Do they sometimes over turn 72h or can you usually not talk your way out of them with some BS excuse? Could I make things worse?

Does Blizz use HWID to identify the computer connected from?

You can try and submit an appeal. I've been able to talk my way out of it several times.
If you were talking to people while using the bot, that would help. It did for me.

Wait out the 72 hour bans.
There is a good chance to get it changed to a closure if you appeal.
