So, the time was 4 AM and I started gatherbuddy up. I 'm always paranoid, so I usually watch GB for a few minutes before going to bed. I waited 10 minutes, but to my surprise; there were no nodes. I waited for half an hour, it still hadn't found any nodes. Remember, I was watching it the whole time, there were no nodes showing up on the minimap. I did a /who sholazar, and the only ones there were me and a 76 warlock who was leveling. I stopped GB, flew around Sholazar myself with the same result: no nodes at all. I started up GB anyways, then I went to bed. I woke up, and I had gotten disconnected. I checked the GB log, and here's what it said: [11:28] 24 nodes harvested in 8 hours. (something like that) Normally I'd think that GB had gotten stuck somewhere, but I truly doubt it. So, is Blizzard playing games with me?
Definitely a poltergeist. I've been "in game" before, when in reality I had been disconnected, or the server had went down. Flying around, but when that happens no one is there, no mobs, no nodes, no one, nothing but me... Aside from that, no explanation fits...
no, /who doesnt show you opposite faction, but you can make char in opposite faction even lvl 1 and /who 'area' and you'll see.
Remember that you can't see the opposite faction. Like what if were 2 alliance and there like 50 horde - Just a case..
I have had the same thing happen before but it has been quite awhile. I think it is actually some type of DC that doesnt actually log you out. It happened to me consecutive times and when I noticed it happening again, I relogged and it was fixed. The first time I did bot for an entire night with no harvests and was totally confused. The servers have been buggy as hell since the last patch.
i think there are a few programs that will track humanoids for you if you're not a hunter; you could have been lagging; I have had wow keep "playing" when I was offline, it was kind of weird. it flew around for hours when the servers went offline and i was !!! and then we i tried to do any actions, nothing happened.
Before the patch I managed to recreate this situation fairly easy. I had 1 wow open on a diff. comp with HB running. Stop HB, keep it open tho and then login from another comp. I logged in on the other comp, while the botting comp still showed that char ingame, capable of going everywhere ingame he wanted to(haven't tried zoning tho). It's like he went into sandbox mode ;D
