tomorow i get my video card ati 5870 but it has ddr5 my mainbord ddr3 wil it work

ye like the tittle says wil it works on a ddr3 mainbord ive readed if you have pci expres 2.0 on mainbord it works i have that is that true or do i need to buy a new mainbord to?

Yeah GPU memory is independent of mobo memory.

 

DDR5 means the memory runs at DDR5 speed, while your motherboard runs at the speed DDR3

 

You will be fine.
And congratualtions with this awesome card. I got it too and it surely is one of the best out there (atleast when I bought it october last year)

 

It is a nice card, fourth fastest in the world commercially available. I personally have the 5970, fastest on the market.
