Basically my account got banned for my first offence of quest botting. Appealed it, got told to fuck off the first time. Second time i got a long winded message saying that the case has been reviewed multiple times, and their decision is now fnal and irreversible.

Is this pretty much it? They added that any related tickets would not be responded to. has anyone ever had a ban reversed at this point? Or am I completely screwed here.

Same boat as you. I rarely botted on my main account except for Archaeology. Did all my professions and farming on my alt account. My MAIN account gets banned and my alt account stayed alive. My heart hurts today. Time to go lose all that weight I've gained the past 6 years...

odd, didn't know you could be banned for only questing.

did you do anything else in past 30 days?

First of all sorry to hear that. I had an account banned twice due to botting -with Glider, but always managed to get an appeal. Some tips:
      1) Do not appeal straight away. The first time I waited two weeks and the other time two months.
      2) Write a formal letter or call them if you are over 18. You have to try and sound serious and respectful to them. Shouting and fools language won't do any good, only "more" harm.

      Now my two backstories:
      1) The first time I told them I was using the game client in a Windows virtual machine, as a Linux user I couldn't play WoW otherwise. The VM is integrated with the OS, with direct access to the Kernel. I said those stuff in case it was Warden that detect me. Moreover I claimed that since I was playing at late hours, usually while alt-tabing with my work workplace screen, I sometimes missed /whispers or was leaving auto-run on. I sent them some fake virus scan logs and screenshots of a VM in Linux. Surprisingly or not, the believed me! ;-) But ever since then, they got Warden a tad more limited than in the past, I doubt it will work again.
      2) The second time I just said that I was enlisted the army at the moment, thus playing from abroad all the time -a perfect excuse for my IPs- from netcafes. Moreover that my account was stolen three times -technically it was, as I was transferring gold to other accounts- thus it wasn't me or by my permission whoever botted. I had a prove that I was actually in the army (I was in the army in real life, just not abroad ;-)) ready, but I wasn't ask for it! The costumer service told me I should invest to an authenticator and even wished me to get home soon and safe! :p

I got two other friends of mine with similar stories. At the end of the day, it depends on the GM/ costumer-rep...

Nope, just questing. This was my main account so I thought i'd just use it to level the classes I wanted to Arena with leave it at that. Was assured levelling was extremely safe, and perma bans were a rarity. Even so, I supervised 90% of the time, replied to all whispers, talked in guild chat, dueled random people my level etc.

Bought Honorbuddy yesterday, had it quest for 8 hours, supervised.
Botted today for 4 hours up until I got banned.

Predictably all my tickets are being automatically responded to telling me to fuck off, and the LiveChat thing was also useless.

Any last ditch hope here, or should I get one of those 'lives' i hear so much about.

Really? The livechat person said they neither he, or the phone staff has any role in bans and that contacting them would achieve nothing.

EDIT: Also, thanks for the advice so much! I intended to ring them tomorrow, and I might integrate some of this stuff into my call, specifically the first part.
Guess i goofed by appealing like two hours after the ban

I called on a account months later trying to get a main that was linked via ip unbanned and the person on the phone said they had no roll in unbans at all and that if i used my 2 email appeals they would just ignore the future ones and that anymore the guys in power rarely unban them as they flat don't care anymore with the amount of people they are banning. I told him that account was legit and that i live with rommates and we share a isp. Hey said you can buy another account but there is nothing he can do and he is sorry. I told him losing my main a toon that was created day 1 with no priors killed my love of the game. Again he said there was nothing he could do and he was sorry.

Yes do so. Personally when I called them, they originally said they can't do anything from the phone. After asking them politely and using some human resources/ social engineering skills, they parsed my phone call to a more senior member of staff. He did all the work and send me an email, where I had to write pretty much the story I told him (about the army). After that I got a reply, 3 hours later I got my ban lifted.

PS: Blizzard keeps logs up to 2 months for each account -confirmed info by a Blizzard EU customer service representative. If you can, wait for two months! ;-)

Sorry for your loss. When did you call them?

Blizzard keeps two months of account logs (all account related actions), however the accounts and battle.net submitted actions are permanent. Try via email? Sound a bit professional and so on... account un-banning in my experience and based on my friends' experiences are all about your social engineering skills and being lucky, getting a happy costumer rep... ;-) Keep trying and do not give up! Just keep some intervals between and do not dramatically change your story. Maybe add to it, but do not change it completely. Sometimes even admitting that you were botting or using an anti-afk program, etc may do the trick.
