I used to use honor buddy a bit about a year ago for questing and leveling only. Never got hit luckily. Never sold gold. I quit using it when they seem to start catching on. Quit the game completely about 4 or 5 months ago, came back recently, and attempted to use garrison buddy to clear 1 of my garrisons, just for the herbs and mining. It never has worked properly for me. Always has cleared a few mining nodes, then gets caught on something hanging from the ceiling or stops a few game inches from reaching the node, so I was even there at my computer to help it along when it got stuck. Then once it cleared 2/3 sections of the mine, it runs out of the mine, and turns around and tries to run back in, using 5 miners coffee and a pick each time.

Anyways. I figured I would give it a shot to see if they got it working any better, and they didn't. So when it ran out of the mine and tried to run back in, I hit stop. So, for this ban, I ran honorbuddy as long as it took to clear 2/3 of one mine, and was at my computer to monitor this 30-60 seconds, never sold gold, never used honor buddy for anything else in over 6-8 months, never used any other bottling program. Zero auctions. Account has been there since basically the beginning, and has never been in any trouble or had any warnings.

So I'm guessing somehow they were able to see that I was running software. Because I literally ran honorbuddy as long as it took to clear 2 sections of a garrison mine, then hit stop, and took over. It did hit some low hanging parts and could have possibly looked funny to a bystander if a GM was monitoring, but if they were monitoring me in person, they had to get there fast for the literal maximum of 60 seconds I used it, and either they were either alerted when I turned honorbuddy on or when I hit start. So I seriously doubt it was because I was monitored by a GM.

I figure it's a trip wire that didn't get tripped. Blizzard has pretty much killed honorbuddy, and I honestly don't know why I tried to use it. It's not safe to use anymore and if you are using an account you value, I recommend not using honorbuddy.
