Aparently a few hackers or fail botters decided to flood the herb markets at steep discounts and piss off a few people. I recieved an in game mail from some d-bag named leado threatening to report me as I was an alt of the hacker. Well, I am not lol. But that didn't stop a GM from contacting me and telling me they were investigating the claims. Luckily I'm not a tool and I don't post more than 12 auctions of an item at a time. I believe I will be safe, but now I have to suspend my operations for a few days, and the markets are ruined. I looked after talking to the gm and there were 5 people that posted 30-40 auctions per herb/per person at no less than 40% discount. The worst hit was lichbloom, beginning at 32g a stack. 12 hrs later there are 35 stacks at 10g ea. If any other servers are seeing something similar please post. I would like to think that nobody in this community would be thick enough to pull something like this, but you never really know just how stupid someone is till they act. Should the person that mailed me be a member.. do it without deleting your toon afterwards ya prick.
Don't mention names. Also as a side note it appears a couple of my realms are also affected but only on certain things.
As posted... the toon was deleted. meaning it doesnt exist anymore. meaning nobody can contact it again...
It is besides the point. names of characters regardless are not allowed to be posted. For all we know another player in the game might be called the same name and end up get abused because of your post here.

but the person on your server could have just gotten sick of getting undercut by people posting tons of stacks...............I know im starten to get pissed on one of my servers. some idiot keeps posting 175 stacks of lichbloom for 25g when its supposed to be 40-50g.............Im thinken of farming lot of Lichbloom and posting it all for 15g just to piss that fag off................But that would just make me get no gold =/ So i just post underneeth him so he dont sell shit
I agree. My only problem with the dude that mailed me is that he deleted the toon so I couldn't mail him back. I understand why he did, but imo it's chickenshite. I dig normal competition in the ah. if there is someone I'm actively copmeteing with I'll cancel auctions and undercut em by 1 copper just to mess with em. There are a handfull of toons that I go back and forth with like that, and it's fun. There's usually enough demand that we all sell anyhow. The cool thing is that so far (13ish hours) they haven't moved any of the herbs. I put em on friends to see if they would be replacing product or not, so far nothing, and nobody is buying. Normally my auctions are gone within an hour or two, so thats encouraging. I had thought about buying everything and setting the market, but if they were hackers, I'd feel like I screwed someone else over. I've seen blizz make it right with the victims, but I'd hate to reward em if it's the case. Yeah, I'm inconvenienced but I'd rather had teamed up with the guy and shut them down.

Wow, someone bought up all the bargains... the prices have returned to normal. Bout an hour after trade was advertising 700 flasks of the frostwyrm..lol
