Greetings everyone, I would like to first apologize for my shortness when responding to "X bot got banned, are you safe?" threads. XXXXXXXX was not detected and is still safe to use, this TO ME was enough clarification. However, I did not research how users were being treated on the other forums of these accused bots. After looking at said forums I am seeing an absolute lack of information provided to their customers. For a program to receive a tremendous amount of bans and to not take it down for a bit to figure things out and provide an explanation to customers is poor business in my eyes. I have seen no official response from the biggest target in this recent event, which is quite frankly upsetting. The most I saw was a comment from a developer that its not detected when it is blatantly obvious that it is. Blizzard has made it obvious they are NOT happy with botting. Programs that I never expected to get hit, are getting hit. Have we avoided it? Yes. Will we continue to avoid it, it is my intent. I can promise all of you, all of these concerns are CONSTANT in my mind. I do not "rest easy" knowing that the community I provide a service to is being degraded. It is demoralizing for the players. I get up at roughly the same time every day, after roughly the same amount of inadequate sleep to sit down and spend the majority of my day improving things for all of you, I appreciate all of you. I would like to assure the public that no matter what happens down the road, I will remain HONEST with all of you as I have from the very start, from which a lot of you are still with me today. I felt that needed to be said, because some of the bots you are coming from have seemed to not do this. I still stick true in the belief that PVP and automated movement(enabling people to seriously affect the gameplay of others) is a cancer to what I provide to all of you. Due to other programs exploiting these, I have to be 10x more vigilant since their actions are out of my hands. I want to make it clear to the public, we ARE safe to use. I am actively, and always have been, ensuring the safety of my program. If anything were to ever happen regarding XXXXXXXX, you can guarantee you would get information from me almost instantly. Additionally, I would not allow my program to remain online in the event people were getting actively banned using it. It is looking like a common trend with other programs is to blame the customer, but I can tell you after what I know about these bans and their indiscriminate nature that is it NOT your fault. I would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this time. I would like to welcome new members and praise old members alike. When you start up your program today, rest assured that I am online with you, and I am doing everything in my power to protect what is important to you Happy Raiding.
If they are talking about HB then some of it is blatant lies. There was a statement made that it was detected for a short time. It along with plenty of other bots imo. HB went down for that time. From what Tripwire could tell there was no change in Warden, so something else had to have happened. The reason why customers like us are not getting that information is because Blizzard Devs are customers too. Thus it goes to a need to know basis for security. They may as well leave everyone out of the loop except their own devs as it helps keep Blizzard devs further from the trail and force them to work with no information. Think of a rogues guild or thieves guild in other games. Only the higher ups know what is going on as everyone there is a potential enemy as well as ally. It is impossible to tell the difference. So to protect the majority, information is kept secret. If everyone gets detected it is bad for everyone, thus they try to keep ahead of detection methods. Blizzard themselves do not give their customers information regarding how they update Warden or what it looks for. They don't want botters to know too much on how to keep their accounts safe. They also have more customers than Bossland and you dont hear them complaining about wanting to know what Warden looks for do you? As for blaming the customer, I never saw any devs do that. They took down the arena loophole as it was never officially supported, and in doing so reduced risk. The post you quoted also seems to dislike PvP botting as it is high risk and a "cancer". People only complain about what directly affects them in a negative way. Through undercutting, PvP, etc. So reducing that overall helps security through player reports. Does nothing for mass bans like this last banwave. It was straight up a detection. Perhaps I have more loyalty as I have been botting longer with 0 bans until the banwave hit? The only difference is the banwave took away our sense of immortality, so people are stressed out.
Yep Bossland did Make a a statment so HB cant be it! As long i am Botting with Boosland Products he was allways open and told what he knows and that includes the Gatherbuddy Banwave in 2009
There was banwave for another bot and GB (back in 2009 it was separate program) used same mechanism to communicate with WoW (which was used for detection) and users of GB were included in banwave targeted on another bot. He should be talking about RxBot and it should be Soap who originally posted this, but since I cant find source, it is probably posted in "member area" of his forum
Yes you are right. He is talking RxBot and F... - And he is right, how they handle the situation is absolutly poor. HB did it right. The informed us + they switched of the bot for a while.
whats so well written about it tbh? I see a lot of ass kissing, bot a is better then bot b cause i take it offline, therefor i care. Therefor you should stay here cause i like you a lot and respect you for using my product. And that last line /vomit Just a marketing speech, nothing else. Its common curt to take a bot offline in the event of a banwave. Those that dont do it, just prove they give 2 cents about you but those that do, dont prove the other side of it. Its taking care of a business like its xpcted from you when u buy a product in the first place. And in the end, no one cares about their customers in another way then sales. We might have bought it on a lifetime, but theres more visitors on the site every day then members. Forums filled with complains kills business, so therefor taking it offline is the right thing to do.
Ah, you mention the Pirox Archa banwave, it was real banwave indeed, with 100k+ accounts involved, but I cannot see how it is related to Gatherbuddy? Have not heard for past HB/GB banwave, beside 13/5 of course.
No I wasn't talking about Pirox Archa banwave (pirox banwave was 2011). I was talking about GatherBuddy banwave 2009 that is reason, why we have Tripwire http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/wor...y-farmingbot-review-guide-21.html#post1665705
