So my mule account that held all my guildbanks got banned yesterday. I registered a new account, created new mules on the servers I bot on to receive mailed items from my farming accounts. Today this account is also banned, reason: Gold selling. When the account is 1 day old, and I havent even done anything else on it than sell items on the AH. All my farmer accounts are still untouched... Wtf is going on really?
If you fill out one of those emails to a GM you might be able to get it restored, at least they did mine. They track all mail transactions from what I can see so since you're mailing all of those high lvl materials between two accounts it raises a red flag for gold selling. You could also try calling blizzard support and ask to talk to a supervisor about how you're not chinese? lol PM me if you need a link to the email thing, it should be in your ban notification email though.
Nah, I'm not interested in restoring the account since it will only make them investigate the matter further and maybe ban my farmer accounts. Never had any problems mailing items between accounts before and been doing it for months... EU
IMO it won't raise any suspicion to your farming account, alot of stuff like that is automated, not directly investigated by GM's anymore. Their tracking stuff just sees that huge flow of items from account to account being sold on the AH by lvl 1 toons. Here's a quote from their Abuse of the Economy FAQ, ""Supplying" can be described as otherwise normal in-game play (such as gathering ore and herbs) and filtering these goods to a final account for the "real-world" currency exchange."
Why is that obvious? No one says they ban by IP, and all my farmer accounts are on the same IP, still going strong...
We only have basic theory of why a ban happens or multi ban.. We think we know but we don't know for sure.. That is not to say anyone's idea is wrong or right.. But in your situation.. My theory is the know your intentions and know your IP.. But your other farmers.. Idk maybe those farmers make them $15 a month and they just keep fckn your sellers.. Again idk just sayin
I seriously doubt that Activision use resources on playing cat and mouse games with people they suspect to be gold sellers. Also, the theory about keeping obviously botted accounts alive to make $15 a month is obviously flawed and far fetched. They have a zero tolerance policy on this. If they knew my farmer accounts, they would be banned already.
Bullshit if I bot on a University/InternetCafe/etc .etc everone with the same Ip gets Banned?? There are better ways to track your Pc just look into the wow/log folder (that is just one)
There hasnt been any gold transactions on the account. The only activity on it has been: Run level 1 to SW. Mail items from farmer account to this account. Post auctions on AH on this account. Collect gold from successful auctions.
