In looking for both botting and play opportunities i often find myself thinking why do all these long awaited games fail .

Wow - the good : the most amazing game universe that i've seen , the holy trinity tank , dps and healer , great story line and quests to lvl , great progression system and end game (raids) ,
the bad : recent bad raids, uninspired game design decisions : pandas (really ? good enough of a reason to turn people away ) , outdated graphics and gameplay , healer type sucks to play on anything else then healing
the ugly : game updates / expansions not nearly often enough , cheaply trying to make the game longer by adding artificial play ways with little to no purpose

Diablo 3 : the good : gameplay , real money auction house , decent graphics (not spectacular but not bad either) , decent story (but nothing spectacular)
the bad : playing only for loot and not for the fun of getting that loot , no endgame , no progression system , classes not balanced in terms of power , no purpose to acquire better gear , almost no incentive to play (because of the lottery system to get good loot )
the ugly : intentional suckish loot because if the player gets good loot there isn't anything else to do , only one significant update in 1 year (ubers), developers have no idea what they are doing changing the game from very hard to very easy while this obviously not being the core issue

GuildWars2 : the good :had the potential of being the wow replacement , great ideas on questing , events , world vs word , decent gameplay (not spectacular but still innovative), decent graphics ,
the bad :very shallow questing and events , fails to immerse into the game universe , no end game? . no specialized roles for dungeons or very little specialization
the ugly : communist game company

Path of exile : the good : good game ideas , decent progression system , fast updates
the bad : bad graphics , clunky combat , bad story , no game universe , not sure about the end game
the ugly : could've been a good game if they had the money to do it properly and didn't try to make it diablo like but made their own game

Torchlight2 : bad graphics and i stopped here.

Marvel Heroes : Bad graphics and i stopped here.

So is there a game with good graphics , good gameplay , great questing and story , great game universe , end game, good to be played in groups and decent game updates or are we asking for too much
I don't think it's not possible it's just that game developers out of ideas copy stuff from one game to another without knowing what is good and what is bad . instead of taking the good, eliminating the bad and adding their own ideas.

I think it is because online playing may have lags, and dodging millimetrical bullet grids is hard enough without them. Apart from that, finding someone on your level is very difficult. If you ever find a partner it can be either a noob who doesn't know to dodge anything or a uberpro that makes you feel like a noob.

I think most online games fail because the producers don't want to spend big bucks and that stops a good game being made, after all who gives a shit if its goblins/elves or ninja wolves that you are fighting as long as the game play is good and the graphics decent.
Trouble is it takes several years (5+ years for a decent MMO to be brought to players) and not all will win over enough people to be financially viable.
The best bit is seeing the usual monthly "Which MMO is the next big thing" thread in General Discussion which usually has one or two people getting all excited about some korean grindfest or some bottable D3 lookalike.
To be honest Blizzard couldn't really go wrong if they just made WoW 2 because people are dumb (this holds true for all things in general) and most people don't want change (read any bnet thread over 10 pages long as it usually revolves around something being changed).
