WTF is going on?

Ok so i have a rogue, lvl 54 that I have been pvping with.

I have noticed that on several occasions there have been WoW freeze-ups. Each time i have gotten an additional talent point.

As I said above, I have a lvl 54 rogue, who now has 55 talent points... odd yes?

 

Lucky break much? Extra talent points?

 

Gogo reset talentpoints at a trainer. If someone spots that you'll draw loads of attention to yourself - and that won't end pretty.

Wouldn't surprise me if thats just your interface fucking up, the server is protected against stuff like this (or you would able to give yourself 1000 talent pts).

 

If you can spend them, go for it imo. Noone ever checks how many points a character uses, the only time people may think wtf is up is where they inspect and are expecting a specific build (for example 20/0/51 PVP mage).

But then you can just play stupid "i don't know whats happened i just have this many to spend"

 

Yeah seriously use them if you've got them.

Yes something is up for sure
i hit 49 (hunter) yesterday and spent the talent point.
logged in today and hit 50, the talent point i allocated yesterday had been removed , checked the talent points and found 3 unspent points.
Very odd

can you actually spend the talents?

 

Isn't there a "learn" button after you allocate your talent points? When I came back to wow after my aion break I had unspent talent points, I placed them in the talent tree only to come back and find I had them all again. I noticed there was a "learn" button that I needed to press in order for the talent points to save. I can't remember what level that button showed up because it isn't on any of my low toons.

lvl 54 with 55 talent points? That is 11 extra talent points. You don't get your talent points till 10.



The learn button is from a setting in WoW. It is so you can see what your setup would be in game before deciding. You can turn it off, it should be under the settings in WoW (forgot what one)

I've had the same thing happen with my hunters pet after switching from BM to SV. Normally pets have 16 talent points but my pet had upwards of 36. But I couldn't actually learn anthing.
