My wow mouse IS CRAZY. It auto-targets mobs and casts exorcism! No I don't have the bot on! And when I try to surf the web it keeps going back to the previous page all the time! I've posted several threads on different sites but no help! I can't do shit!
Guessing it's a virus. That's a very, very single-minded guess though. We need more info to know what's going on. Tried virusscanner/spyware scanner?
How likely is it that your Exorcism is bound to your Backspace key and that the Backspace key (physically) is stuck? Or the previous button on the mouse?
Oh hi Bossland, you got my PM about Lifetime? Regarding the problem, no it's always there. The mouse works fine a couple of minutes then goes berserk.
I did re-install the software, didn't work. And Exorcism is bound to Mouse Button 4. + If it's a virus how the **** do I scan the mouse?
mouse button 4 being the one on the left of the mouse presumably like on side? thats the one that goes back with my mouse on interweb sounds like a dodgy mouse, you tried a diffo one?
I don't think your mouse will ever cotain a virus, anyway I would do the following: 1. Start in secured mode -> problem still there -> it's a deeper problem 2. Scan with a suitable antivir: prefer -> G Data, Kaspersky, Avira (market leader) 3. No found? -> Hijackthis -> Still no found? 4. Disable all junk software in your autostart with a potential chance to be a disturbance 5. ffs it's still there ? reinstall your os 6. hmm... still there? take computer throw it out your window
I HIGHLY doubt a virus is the cause of that. If you have teamviewer i'll try and configure and look into the problem for you (aslong as ur ping is fine) . If you need my assistance please send me a private message with your hotmail. I'll contact you after that.
I had the same error with my Logitech G15 Keyboard, i just bought a new one. It was a error inside the keyboards software... so try using a new mouse and see if it helps if it does, its the mouse
This on i liked best xD *stillloling* now to topic: changing the mouse should be the easiest way to check if it's a hardware problem or not... and if it's not a problem with your hw reinstalling the OS would be the most easiest way to get rid such problems, everything else could lead to endless nervewracking sessions of troubleshooting which will let YOU go enrage and things will happen that you can't imagine
Chances are your mouse is just screwy, or the button contact is a lot more sensitive. (Did you get mad and slam it against the desk?)
So you all want me to go and buy another 120 Dollar mouse and then see if it was a hardware error :S? Ain't happenin'.
