Exactly. But from another point of view. I have money to spend. I make $15k a month on my job, but I have no time to farm or risk that account for nothing. And I'm not gonna spend much effort mastering my class, so I use routines to do it for me. And profiles to farm achievements. I've donated to a few creators on the forum for their effort, without any requests. But I enjoy playing this dumbed down game w/ the help of routine botting. I have friends in game, and I fly to the states every year to meet up and go crazy with em. I buy TCG mounts, gold and have probably spent over $10k on this $15/month sub game. Well, you make money using the bot, I make friends and past time using it. It was nice hearing a POV from sellers using this bot. I have 9 keys, but I only have 1 account. lol.
the bot is made for anyone who was willing to pay 24 euro per year. Now, look how things are. The devs who made the bot have a real work and profit a lot. I have a real work and buy the bot for my pleasure. You, on the other hand, think that you found the golden fleece in a 24 euro per year bot and you think you are professional...wake up and find a real work instead of crying on forums I slay the mighty dragons of myself and I use the bot 1-2 hours per day to skip the boring stuff and also to not have to buy from you. got it?
Not true about the ip address bud i use a usb stick for my internet and it has a diff ip every time i boot it up.
That was i meant, you people are retarded thinking that investing your professionnal life to make your living, rising your kids with the wow bot.. lot of laughs.. In vanilla ,the game was hard enough, everything was expensive, the license, the items, the craft items, there were nearly no bots (maybe an RGB fishbot) and nobody cryed, nobody needed the bot. I say it because, you're talking about people who is in "need" to buy gold. No there not, goldsellers are just offering gold with lower and lower prices.. So obvious that blizz reacts. For those who is finger pointing at those who can't play the 10years old game on a single account, i mean you're pointing at 90% of people using this bot. I don't have time to play it, so i don't play it, this is why i'm running a bot, cuz its a pleasure to wake up in the morning and see stuff, how it gone without you. You're also harrying up in the evening to get home, in order to have a look, and spend like 1/2hour in AH.. Personally i'm studying c/c++/.NET/java in high school. And its a very interesting way to study, how to improve the bot, make your own routines and stuff.. @Cloudy i don't want to play at all, i'm just watching. But YOU, and people like you are ruining this interest.. You're the parasite(50 acc+) of this game that should be reported and banned..
Some people like the social aspect of wow still. Jump on skype, into a raid and let the bot do the hard work while you have a vodka and chat with mates!! Not everything has to be so serious and even with the sub losses wow is still one of the biggest (social) mmo's.
I agree with OP, botting is no longer profitable (you can make few $, but thats really not worth it considering time/effort). Blizzard is running the ship so tight, that ANY use of bot can get you banned at ANY time. I personally havent used HB for months now, and havent reported some bans before that, since its pointless. After getting many bans with gathering, I decided to test AH flipping and I did an experiment, the least noticeable way of detecting the bot: AHBuddy, only for buying (1-2 hours per day, divided throughout the day in 15-30 min sessions), and all bot movements are done by me. I.e. bot was used only for buying, nothing else. No heavy buys either, just a couple of k gold per day. Still HB was detected and account was perma banned few days later. What to speak of mass gathering or questing - even supposedly undetectable HB usage with very casual buying gets you banned. And in case anyone is wondering, new installation, new IP, absolutely nothing trackable. So yes, HB is detected, just server security script not always activated. GMs themselves say, they can see memory processes = ban anytime script checks HB user. So you can be as smart and careful as you want, but with a very tight WoW security nowadays you can forget decent money making. I still come to these forums, hoping devs will come up with a solution outsmarting Blizzard, but nothing so far - Blizz is head and shoulders ahead in this cat-and-mouse game now.
You may be right about the detection, given the benefit of doubt. I've been using it for years, only BANs i've ever got was being greedy. Farming and AH. Never been banned for questing and routines, autoangler, archaelogy. They may have detected HB, even so, they are NOT wiping out the majority of us. Only a select few. The devs, the big time farmer, the people for make $$ out of it, the gold sellers, the greedy (Farmers), AHer's (Abuse of Economy), the reported (BG Bottings, DungeonBuddy failing botting). Of all the above, you'd probably belong to one of the categories. Most common if not, is GB2 farming and the rest that follows (AH, Prospect, Milling, Selling), or known as Abuse of Economy. Blizzard is essentially going HARD on gold sellers or people who monopolise the AH. And yes, the only bot in the market who automates these actions all in one is only HB, and it's easy to get mistaken on the wrong end of the pole and get banned.
Im` sorry to say, but you are the clueless one here... restarting your router every 1-10 minutes, does indeed change your Dynamic IP, but it won`t ever change the ISP`s IP, the one that you use to get "out in the world" so to say. So until you will learn about Ip`s, and their roles, do not bother accusing people.
No offence, but i can see that you have your eyes closed. 1. Anyone can use the bot in any way they like - this is why they paid money for it. 2. People are free to try out every aspect of botting, no matter how they do it 3. A lot of people can make a living out of botting (i`m one of them, but i never brag about it) 4. You have no idea how many clever people out there, know how to use the bot, just enough to minimize their loss and maximize their profit. 5. If you think that those people using 10-50-100 bots are retards, it clearly shows how "open minded" are you. Sure, many of them are loosing a lot, yet there are thousands of HB users, but few of us ever bother to write here. 6. You are the one that should be banned outside of these forums, for the mentality you have regarding those that use multiple bots. This phrase you type: "But YOU, and people like you are ruining this interest.. You're the parasite(50 acc+) of this game that should be reported and banned.." shows how frustrated you are. PS: Bot itself is not detected. it`s only "YOU" being detected.
IPs dont matter. I have a static IP from the internet company and it never changes. I run 3 bots on my PC and 1 main account that I don't bot with. Sometimes (very rare) one bot gets banned, but all other accounts are still good so blizz doesn't autoban all accounts on the IP. In my experience, you only get banned when you bot stupid. Most of the bans come from other players reporting you. They see you too much time in one zone, they add you as friend, they can see you online for 8 hours every day in the same area - they report you. They see you stuck - they report you. When I bot, i'm at the PC most of the time (i work online from home) and my bots get a lot of whispers from players checking if the character is a bot or not. So if you are AFK and can't answer - you get reported, and GM do act on it now. Special kind are the idiots who list 100-200 stacks of ore or herb on the AH. I report them myself right away. Bot smart and you won't get caught.
Lol you have got no frickin clue what you are talking about. "the ISP provider IP" lol man, people are so ignorant, it's beyond me.
"I am a big professional botter" "atm i see no other ways to farm Gold with a bigger amount of accounts as with Herb and Mine."
People must think if they report enough other bots they will get a cookie to exchange when their ass gets popped.
OP is a moron. Only legit topic is, it is harder to make $$ now. its like that for every game. first year = huge profit ... wow has been out for what 10 years now maybe 11? so yes profit margins are down and player reports are easier to do. For how long wow has been out, and how cheap honorbuddy is....honorbuddy is doing over and above.
I was banned recently for botting herb and mine, i literally wrote a strongly worded letter asking them why im being banned for "botting" and what even is botting, and how dare they accuse me of it. Needless to say i was unbanned lol. Their bot-detection is tops, now. but... their staff still is stupid as fuck lol.
