Try counting the bans, then count the bans of people who haven't run auctions and then get the percentage figure. Report back please.
I've been doing my research around this part of the forum and I see most people that was suspended or banned was from EU. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.
All my GB accounts have been going for over 6months now for the most part with no bans. Only bans on HB not GB. I use mail on GB as well. It may be the mob type killing on HB but I will say it has nothing to do with auctions.
If there was a hard and fast rule, it would make all our lives easier. There isn't one - we have 1000s of users who never get banned. So what we are trying to do is make sense of the few ban reports we do have. And they suggest that its a very good idea to run auctions.
Cataclysm is just around the corner, blizzard imo are more vigilant and whip/flog the Games masters to find more dirty bots than usual.
OK, Hawker i will try using AH more. Hell i will try/do anything to make HB and wow make money for me. I am sorry for before say that what you said about the AH was BS. I have got to trust that you must know more about this than me. I fully expect to get an account or two ban, the way of botting. But i have had every account ban than i have used HB on. On some I have botted 24/7 and used AH for everything and some with little to no AH with a few hours played. Maybe there should be a small part on the forum updated by only ppl who know what the best/newest info to not get ban ( an updated one ). And ty for your response Hawker
I do agree blizzard doesn't have a good hard rule. Even when it comes to gold selling. The bans are random on my vanilla selling accounts. I use the same method everytime. Sometimes they last 40days(10 extra from BC trial) other times they are perma banned after the 1st day of selling gold. I find it kinda funny in a way.
