In the USA since they pay for the servers you have no right to be there. They can cancel you for absolutely no reason at all if they want to. They can in the EU too, they just are forced refund any payments in a certain amount of days within the offense there.

People keep wanting to talk about a game as if it's a court room. It's their game. They can do what they want with it as long as their investors don't complain. You have no rights when on someones private property.

The thing is I do have rights, when information about me is beeing stored on their property and this information is used to take an action on a account which has fincancial interest for both parties. Hence EU Data protective act, US sadly does not have as strict directive as EU though.

And no they couldnt toss me out of the server for no reason, then they would have to change the ToS/EULA which I could contest on saying this is targeting me and is keeping me from playing both if i accept and does not accept, which would be regarded as a void ToS/EULA (at least in EU, I really dont know much about how the US state/federal laws are on this)

Edit edit: Or not, you have to do something which violates ToS or if they are shutting down wow.

Everyone should file with the BBB against Blizzard for banning them for no reason except for running an addon that access blizzard database. All addons which they do allow you to make and use are legal even thou they think it is also cheating. I am sorry but I use Auctionator and a couple of others that access wow databases. So I gather i am cheating >>>>>> right

Cheating according to them is (An unauthorized third party program is defined as any third party software (including Addons) that facilitates cheating; intercepts, mines or collects information from the game database; or allows modifying or hacking of the game interface, environment or experience in any way not expressly authorized by Blizzard Entertainment.)

99.9 % of addons do some thing for you at some point like access a database. So can macros do things if configured to do so. I myself will be filling with the BBB and saying I use addons and they are stealing my money because they are not refunding the monthly fee I already paid. so a 6 month ban to my recurring account. Since i just paid the 6 month fee 1 month ago, I figure they now owe me 5 months of not being able to play.

They should not have the right to keep anyone's money for something they cannot use and blizzard should be providing 100% full detail information for any ban anyone gets for any reason.

      just my opinion.

Is honorbuddy still on your harddrive? I believe they are banning if they so much as find HB installed, whether you use it or not.

Not true and blizz has no way of scanning your hard drive. They may scan your running processes, but they most certainly can't scan your hard drives. They can also only scan your processes when their software is running, otherwise they're violating several wire tapping laws.

Honorbuddy is not an add-on, nor has it ever been classified as such. HB interacts and manipulates current running offsets inside the wow process, which is a direct violation of the ToS.

You do realize that the BBB is not a government run database and has no power to make any company repay anyone. Additionally, Blizz can dispute your case with the BBB and have it dismissed because your claim is patently false.

Are you really saying that Blizz doesn't have the right to remove you from their servers? You really can't be that stupid...

Keep in mind that you agreed to the ToS. Every time blizz updates the ToS, you have to re-agree to it. You absolutely gave them permission to remove you from their servers for any reason, or no reason at all, whenever they feel like it.

No, they do not have to provide you proof, no they do not need your permission to do anything with your account. All you've basically done with your wow account is leased a very small portion of the servers. You do not own the account, blizz still does. If blizz decides they don't want you to have your lease, they can terminate said lease at any time they want. You agreed to that when you signed their contract, the ToS.

No Im not stupid, ofc they can terminate your account, but they could be potentially sued for it, since the TOS (EU VERSION) does not state termination without reason as the US version does. Atleast I havent found that part yet. And EU has very strict rules against service termination where money is involved, which favors the customer much more than the companies.

Pls do post if you find the section with termination for no reason in the EU version (I found it in the US version).

And oh yeah, All my posts are releated to EU citizens and not US.

And starting to get off topic, sorry op.

My sub renewed just a couple days before the ban hit, and I asked for a refund and they did it.
