Guys please chill! Wait for a HB fix. I hope the team find the error fix it and we can use again HB! But guys hb is never 100% safe... It wasn't and it will not...
Sharing my ban: I use only 2 toon's; 1 in the horde using Enyo to dungeons and ashram; 1 in the alliance, using Enyo to raids, dungeons and garrison missions; Access 1 to 2 times per day, being logged 2~4 hours at most. I think Blizzard should check the processes that are running on your computer, just so I have come to ban wave too.
I guess it's something they inject through launcher to scan our memory. I did not get banned in the recent ban-wave. and I botted 24/7 last couple of days. I always kept my launcher closed, but after tripwire stopped HB, I played for an hour an closed the game, re-opened the launcher, and there it was, on top left something started to download under the Blizzard icon, and it was not related to any of the games.
What about building a bot which emulated keyboard and mouse? (it would not work in background, but atleast it should be safe to be detectet)
Yes, that what i mean with "would not work in background". But like you said maybe via VM, but i dont think its worth it. You also couldnt run multiple bots, but i think atleast it would be safe. Easier probably to emulate warden. But i dont know if that is possible.
Couple of questions, I used HB many years (2009) ago, but have been back about a month and I got caught up in this latest ban wave. I got banned back in 2010 and it was like 7 days, boy have things changed. It is all part of the risk, but my my questions are; 1. Blizz mentions "Along with this suspension, we may remove currencies, inventory and/or ranking/qualifications associated with the account involved in this exploitive behavior." Have people noticed if this happens? or does blizz typically leave the gold, etc. in the account and hope the ban is enough? 2. This may be more difficult to answer, but I am sure some of you have done this and can speak, somewhat, to this. Once the ban is over do people start boting with the banned account again. Have you noticed that you are more likely to get banned again (being monitored). I would think that Blizz does not have the man power to monitor given the number of accounts they hold, but if you are turned in or anything unusual happens you would be guilty before they even look into it. Thanks in advance for your answers.
I have a question! Earlier they caught a player at first time that was a 72 hours ban and second time was perma bann! Now it is 6 months and 18 months why? ^^ I will try to become my perma bann account back from 2012
What is the likelihood of them identifying all of the ips being used? And if they did it once they must have a way to work it out and so how does adding more ips without altering the behavior make any difference?
2 vanillas accounts, first ban 100 alts .... millionaire, I cant complain Its been fun and a good ride, thats the risk of botting, or aimbotting/*****ing in any game The support from HB has been great, every now and then though sh!t happens ... either get back on the horse or gtfo
That's how it appears currently. Essentially there was mass detection, the buddy devs currently have no idea how, or even how to find out how it was done. They believe the system they use to figure this out (tripwire also works as anti-spyware), was bypassed leaving little information. We are free to continue at our own risk for now. I have a lot of questions but most of them can't really be answered. I do wonder if those IP ranges have stayed the same since previous banwaves, and perhaps they were gleaned during a the scanning of a previous wave. This would allow them to find a way to bypass them with the next detection method. My suspicion is based on the fact we know they previously detected HB injection and that method was discovered by the buddy team and shut down, but we don't as users have the insight to know what blizzard detected/how much information they could glean. It's all guesswork for us, but we should assume the bot remains detected until such time as the buddy staff can figure out the latest detection method. Blizzard may still be able to find the new IP ranges and use the same method repeatedly, hopefully if they do, tripwire will be able to detect it due to some oversight or some change in the tripwire system. Good luck everyone, don't throw in the towel completely, but consider it detected "for now" imo, and consider any bots suicide bots until a better update can be given.
well at least you are more upfront about this now. no investigation needed, tripwire did nothing for previous banwaves why on earth would it help now no matter what IP ranges are used. "smart botting" is nice to prevent player reports but does nothing to prevent losing your account to banwaves every 5 months. As the devs said, YOU CANNOT USE THIS BOT ON MAIN ACCOUNTS. Obviously many 1000s of players are unaware of this, certainly the new ones, and are losing their 10 year accounts. I will say this: despite the total disaster of running a bot that gets its entire userbase banned like clockwork every few months, the devs are unwilling to make major changes. Obviously between the buddystore that charges 40% fees (and managed to alienate most of the best plugin devs) and the new annual only sales model, bosslands feels they can make enough even with the bans. Devs, if you had an ounce of integrity you'd be working on a 64bit / rootkit / whatever the fuck version. YOU HAVE TO TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT, not just tinker around with your (completely useless) Tripwire. serious question, when is the last time the tripwire went off when it wasn't a false alarm or AFTER a banwave? lol.
Hey.. besides Honorbuddy i also purchased several Hacks for games like Battlefield, Call of Duty, Counter Strike... totally worth about 300,- Maybe i can let u know some of their "preventions".. first of all they disable the process of the anti-*****/detection-software.. Not sure how they do it but normally for example in BF4 you need Punkbuster, and they stop it from sending datas do Blizzards server.. The other prevention is a random process/name of every shit. For example if u download the hack u CANT use it with the normal name.. u have to change it to.. "50cent-lolipop.exe" and the process will be "50cent-lolipop.exe".. so maybe they detect the process "honorbuddy.exe" or the client in any folder... Also its nearly everything client-side.. the only "server-side" feature is the "vip-check".. (To check if you're allowed to use the hack/program).. once started there isnt any connection to the Main-server anymore. So if origin/steam or whatever is checking the networks settings and see the active connection to the server of the hack they see "Hu... lets ban this fukkr".. I dont know much about preventions of detections or something else.. but this are the most common things that every user of this hack knows.. If interested some mods can pm me for the name of the hax, so they could contact their developers to find new ideas.. Why shouldnt bot-developers and hax-developers help each other? Of course, hacks and bots arent the same.. but bypass a game and its anti-***** could be similar.. If you dont care about the names and wont edit this post: x22, nxhacks, artificalaiming. Greetings
The sooner they rebuild this from the ground up and make it 64 bit, the sooner we can be safe. Also, maybe since warden is scanning the memhook, is there a way to kind of camouflage what is really happening, make it look like something else. I dont know, just spitballing.
You really think there will be a rebuild from the ground? You think bossland will invest time and money into this? They dont have the resources anymore i think. The costs for the courts only.... They even had to change there pricing. You wanna know want i think? Bossland just made deal with blizzard. They give x players every x months. And for that there are allowed to stay in business.
