then all other bots like firehack combat scripts, sbr pve combat bot and the others that are not worth mentioning would get banned too. sorry they are detecting it somehow it ain't to do with stats. on the other hand blizzard does have scripts to detect suicide farmers killing things for 20 days straight over and over no normal person would do, but yeah your average player is not doing that and it would be so hard for them to do this since you'd have so many false reports added into it too they are going on detection of the software not on combat stats.

I'll be frank: I was asking for it. I botted partially in obvious ways (obvious only to Blizzard), and partially in discreet ways. Meaning, I botted almost 24/7; I farmed with some of my bots for more than 4 hours. Yes, I did. But I also switched immediately to dungeons after hitting 15, and in all-bots parties of 5. I never, ever botted in the battlegrounds; I didn't get enough time, at least. However, I had a feeling that, ultimately, it doesn't really matter whether I farm for just 15 minutes or for 8 hours. I had a feeling that Blizzard knows, and they know that I know, and I was just hoping that they'd let it pass because I'm trying to be discreet that not hurting anyone or affecting the economy. My feeling was right! Because when you read dozens of reports, you realize that is really does not matter whether you only use CRs, only farm for 15 minutes, or farm for hours! We ALL get suspended or banned in the end. Part of me wanted to just quit the game; that's why I was asking for it with some of my activities. And Blizzard is a giant a-hole, which breeds a-holes in the game, whether in some of the servers or some of the PuGs, who were the main reason I quit years ago and are one of the main reasons I bot with 4 bots in dungeons while I tank manually...just so I don't meet any more a-holes in the game. I sometimes feel bad about giving Blizzard my money, with them being a giant a-hole that breeds more tiny a-holes within. But, then again, WoW has its own elusive charm; I don't know what it is. Maybe part of it is nostalgia, and part of it is the teamwork require and social aspect (with non-aholes). Anyway, as Bossland states in their own introductions and quick startup guides, if you bot, you will get caught. They are not lying to us. Moreover, I'm sure they're doing their best; after all, it is in their best interest to do their best. I feel a bit sad that I lost 5 accounts to a 6-months suspension, but it could have been worse. One of those accounts is from day 1 of WoW release back in 2004! On the other hand, I know I was asking for it here and there. But then again, if I behaved differently...if I only fished for 15 minutes at a time, and farmed Felblight for only 30 minute at a time...it...would...not...have mattered! That's what really counts for me. At least I had a bit of fun while it lasted. To top it off they took my monthly Sub fee the same day they banned me. Just shows how much of a bunch of cockheads they are
If you were banned the same day your subscription renewed, you should be able to contact support, have them transfer you to billing and they should issue you a refund. It happened to me a couple of banwaves ago. My sub had just renewed and I had purchased a mount from the store. They refunded both since my purchases and renewal was the same day I was banned. It never hurts to ask politely.
I can definitely see the reasoning behind telling the player every single little detail about operations. Just kidding - stop asking them wtf happened EXACTLY - it's not your job to know, it's not your job to ask. Sharing vital security details to people like this is one of the dumbest things you can possibly do in the hacker world - and it's a noob move to boot. SO STOP ASKING THEM WTF HAPPENED AND LET THEM WORK
If blizz is scanning our computers for HB, maybe HB should be hosted in a cloud and ran though a normal browser or something.
HB is died NOW after this banwave no information how they detecte us time to make a new bot NEW ERA NEW CHANCE
first post tells you how it was detected: although it may not be accurate, im going with the "ip ranges" as detection method
Honorbuddy program code have +6 years. Dont you think it should be rewriten? btw another wow bot, *****, have been hacked lol. Isnt it a bit suspicious?
Lost your main? I did. But.... Would you even have that main without HB? I lost my 725 pala healer, but would I have that pala if it where't for HB? No. I would't. So, can I be uppsett? No, I can't. Yes, I lost 20€, but I knew the risk. After 3 banwawe's it does't come as a surprice. I think this will be the case from now on. Maby this is the new standard. How far can you get before you get banned? I think this is the case for many HB user's. If your not willing to accept that, dont bot. Easy as that. Anger is not good for your health. Think about this. Maby you'l live longer ;-) Sorry about my English. WW
Enjoy your suspension then with the next ban wave in about 3-6 months. My friend hadn't botted in 2 months, hadn't played in 2 weeks was just banned; ban waves are not reactive, they are a one shot to all suspensions collated thus far. If they were reactionary then botters would be able to pinpoint too easily where/how/what they were banned for... this way (ban waves) people are suspended and often they don't know what/when got them caught/detected/reported. Best of luck to all those affected...
I had a great run with honourbuddy over the last few years but the last 6-12 months have been upto shit. Ever since Blizzard had a big court case against HB last year, I think the good old days are long gone and I guess its time for the next Bot to rise
My problem that I hold is to do with Blizzard not HB, HB has done great things and I appreciate being able to play wow while still holding down a Life. For the botters out there not exploiting the game as in just using some rotations to ease there gameplay doing some dngs or raids I cant understand why blizzard goes out of there way to fk them over repeatedly and be arrogant pricks about it. But until the bans slow down and the average guy stops getting banned if ever than ill have to hang up my mouse lol
maybe its easier now for blizzard to detect tripwire now because the stornbuddy source code got leaked a year or 2 ago right?
I used honorbuddy and got banned on my 'other' account. This account never used honorbuddy & was simply used to try troubleshoot why I couldn't inject the hack on my main account. So, I run the bot, it ran fine - ran it for 5 minutes killing some boars with the combat bot in durotar (with a level 2 hunter no extra gear - nothing). That was all. Quit the game, closed the bot. Tried to run the bot on my main account, as it has done before on this account, the game crashes 10-15 seconds after the bot running. What is odd is that my main account did not get banned, despite the bot running fine for those 10-15 seconds, but the other account did. -Grim
So im confused.... Blizzard has detected the IP ranges that tripwire uses, all theyve done is "increase the ip ranges". Whats stopp blizzard from just increasing their ip ranges that they "go around" to sniff out honorbuddy and just ban us all again? i guess honorbuddy is finally finished?? edit: and I don't mean fear mongering, but if blizzard can now detect the IP ranges that tripwire uses how is increasing the range going to make a different in the long/short term?
