I know what you mean, I like to run the 1 - 50 grind profile until I am about level 20-25 then I start doing fates at Aleport. Yeah, that's what I do also. Use the grind profile to around 15, then go to Summerford Farms and fate bot there until 25 or so. Then Aleport until 30, Quarrymill until 35, Costa del Sol till 45, then Coerthas to 50. Basically you want to do fates a little overleveled for the zone.
What settings do you guys have for the fatebot for aleport? My character got 15-25 grinding summerford and it worked flawlessly. Now in Aleport it just runs around randomly and skips most of the fates completely. I literally walk into Summerford and it works, walk into Aleport and it stops working, walk back - works again, etc. Edit: Well, I spam restarted the RebornBuddy program and it seems to be doing things fine outside of Aleport now. Not sure what the problem before was, the log didn't have any errors or anything unusual - just spammed "no fates in range" even though there was clearly fates within level range and not blacklisted.
Edit: Its back to skipping FATEs again. I've tried everything possible from my side. Enabled/Disabled all common plugins. Tried different combat routines. Tried all the different bot settings. I don't really get it.
Its like 5-12 or something like that. The benefit to doing it so long is that the zone is the best designed to bot in. The meshes are good, the bot can do almost every FATE possible easily.
What type of fates is it skipping? Boss, escort, ect.? There are toggles for these at the top right of the botbase settings.. or it could be skipping bosses because it hasn't hit the percent complete that you have set up in your botbase. Is the level cap for fates on and skipping because it is outside the level requirement? I sometimes turn this off and manually add the high level fates to my DO NOT complete list.
This is what I'm currently running and it has been working perfectly, except some problems with GourmetGuy not rebuffing after the first food usage on start. FateBot Settings: Engage boss when progress is above 5% Level Req. Min 0 Max +4 Combat Routine: Ultima Plugins: Patrol (grinds mobs while there's no active FATEs for your settings) GourmetGuy (eats food) RePear (repairs on set intervals) FateAutoLeveler (when AFKing, it teleports you to level appropriate zones for FATEs)
Is it normal to take absolutely forever? For pretty much any class it takes about 4-5 hours to do 15-20, not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Using your setup.
Nope, its pretty normal. There really isn't a way to bot "quickly," its just faster than not playing at all. I will usually level while I can, and then run the bot when I go to sleep and get a few levels. Better than nothing.
I read in another post that patrol cause some troubles and is not ideal to run it completely afk (when going for sleep for example). I also recommend to disable Escort Fates, cause the way the bot follows the npc is very "botish" and may cause you to get reports.
Fatebook does seem like it is just sitting around sometimes, but if you just leave it alone for a few hours it will level while you do other things.
I use the grind profile from 1-10, this takes about 2 hours on most classes. Then I will run the bot in Summerford Farms while I sleep for 8-9 hours to get to about level 21. This is how I start out all of my characters. If you are running it at night it will take longer than during peak hours, because you have above 5% on if no one is doing the boss fates then that is something your character won't end up doing. Which will leave your bot waiting around to do 2-3 fates per area. I am not sure if there is a list of fates by type per area, you could probably come up with optimum zones for running this to avoid boss fights.
If you want a faster way with the bot, you can get to level 15 within ~1 hr by hunting logs+fates. I highly and say it is required fro you have a rank 6 healer chocobo, then you set you fates % to 0. Run fates to your hearts content, I personally do summerford farms until ~15-20, then move to South Shroud till ~28-30, and then from 30 to 50 I stay in Costa Del Sol. Having that Rank 6 bird will let you solo boss fates, make sure you set him to healer stance though, when they are in free stance they really couldn't care less about you.
I used the questing bot until level 41 where I left off with my original character. The profile does get stuck every once in a while and I do not recommend AFKing when you run this profile. I forgot to copy logs or report errors when I was using it, but it is one of my favorite leveling profiles.
