[Bot] PoolFishingBuddy - BetaTest

That generally means you're using a profile with a level range set too high or too low for your current character.

 

My char is 85 though and i have max fishing so not sure why that would happen

 

New release 2.0.0.4129 did not fix anything in Uldum. Using with latest release of PoolFishingBuddy 1.0.16 and still presents same issues as others have reported.

• The log says "Looking for Pools" even when there is a pool right under it.
• Bot mounts and flys up in a spiraling circle
• Profile uses hotspots on the river and lakes north of Lost City

If your char is level 85 set maxlevel tag to 86. Else your char doesn't fit to the profile.

 

Your z-coords are underground. Replace z="0" with z="findhighest".

Do you think I should ignore z-coords of any profiles and make the bot find them by itself and increase them by the height modifier? This would prevent these issues -.-

Open the xml file (profile) you are trying to use with notepad/wordpad, look for the tag and change it. I can do it for you if you could attach the file here..

i'm so sad because i can't make this bot to work (with my profile or public profile) The bot just go to a fishing pool but do nothing: just stay near or "in" the pool and afking :'( i'm just looking for a profile to farm pool in northrend for the turtle I have looked in the forum for so so many profiles (AA profiles) and i always have the same issue

You log says, that the POI was set to Harvest when moving to pool. That's strange but there was someone who had the same issues, but didn't respond any more. Did you try to run it without mixed mode?

Tested it now in mixed mode and it's still fishing well for me and also entered the BG. There are many errors inside your log so I think you should maybe try to make a fresh installation.

I dont usually reply to threads on forums..but I gotta tell you. Been using PFB for few weeks and must say it worked well but got stuck quite often and needed a nudge every now and again..i know you worked hard on it and the latest version is awesome..running flawless even in uldum on rocks perfectly..keep up the good work..can go afk now and leave it on..10k fish here we come

You are welcome. I am glad that you found the time to post your feedback even if you usually don't reply. I know the inital behavior had issues and that's why this is still a beta.

Also I am quite happy with the current behavior because it calculates location that are 100% valid. The only reason for ending up in swimming is, that the navigation isn't 100% yet. The downside is, that calculation takes quite long, if the terrain is is difficult to achieve. This is something which I still worry about.

 

1. You should use Flightor from GB2 instead of AB, apparently it's much better (I quote raphus here!)

2. Some people use the black theme. You're writing with dark grey text on a dark grey background in your first post.

 

the POI was set to harvest ? how do i change this ? did a fresh install and now nothing is working: fishing, AB, etc... he is trying to harvest herb nod, he loot mobs, etc... but i unchecked everything :'(

2. The first post appears well for me with black. Which black theme do you use?

It's not you who set the POI but HB by itself. Please post your log, so we can see what's going on.

here is an other log. (started with AB then i switched to PoolFishingBuddy)

it says: [00:25:26:688] Warning: 'TargetMinLevel' has been moved to 'GrindArea'. Please reflect this change in your profiles. I don't know what it means, my fishing profile (downloaded page11) is selected to 7 in <factions>

 

Seems like there's no settings file for this char. Please go to the Bot Settings at least once when PoolFisher is selected and you try to start it for the first time on this char.

I had a check for that but placed it wrong.. Will be fixed in next release so you get a message like "Please go to settings first. Stopping..".
