Would it be an easy fix to make it not go into "wait" status, when there are still cancelled auctions waiting in the mail, but just go back and empty the mail again (or wait for it to become available) This occurs when the mailbox is "full", and it empties what it can, and relists it, but never returns to empty the next lot that in the mail.
Actually it is a little hard. Because when Honorbuddy empties the mailbox, the "New Mail" flag is still true. This means it'll keep thinking there are new mails to go back to for a while, and thus will run back and forth between the AH and mailbox. I have implemented some extra stuff to handle this in Salesman 3, but it still needs some testing.
First time I've used this, everything is setup appropriately. AH scanning is performed successfully, items are canceled appropriately and mail is collected, but nothing is ever posted on the AH. The character moves to the auctioneer, but gives the following message before every reaching it. Everything was up and running as supposed on AH Going to wait for 411 seconds
So, what happens is that over time the mailbox becomes fuller and fuller, and the bot becomes less and less effective as most essential stock is sitting as cancelled auctions in the mail. The longer I leave it running the worse it gets; and I have to stop and manually retrieve mail. I'm pretty much only listing 3 of each type of gem, and various raid consumables (flasks and potions). Circa 280 auctions. Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome botbase, and does some things really nicely, but it's frustrating to find I'm missing out on sales because it's no longer listing my item due to all the stock being unretrieved in the inbox. I just can't seem to find away around this limitation - I'm considering trying to run your botbase from inside a ProfessionBuddy profile, and then have PB correctly empty the bags and get mail, but really for what is quite an expensive profile I would not have expected to have to do this. Can you help? Am I doing something wrong? Is it only designed to support a small number of auctions on quieter realms?
Are all your add-ons disabled? If yes, could you send me your settings file and log? Please note that your settings file name contains both your char and realm name, so for safety, you should rename it. It can be found in HB/Settings/Salesman/
The short answer is yes, it was designed like this. It used to work like you want it to but I got some complaints about some people with a lot of auctions that it would never get to the wait state because it would keep running from mailbox to auction house. Later, I've realized that this change was a bad choice, which is why I'm bringing back the other functionality in Salesman 3.
My apologies I made a mistake in the items setup. I had not changed the default SIZE from 0, thus nothing was every listed on the AH. I have since adjusted the SIZE to the appropriate stack size of each item and all is working. In doing so I noticed an issue that caused some frustration. Changing the SIZE of and item to lets say "1" resulted in a list of items appearing that started with that number, i.e "1 Pound Grouper". Also list a size greater than the stack size of an item, e.g Rune Cloth to 100, which has a max size of 20 caused an error.
I need assistance. I popped the botHavenManager in my plugins folder but when I log in to HB I just get the following 3 errors and the application crashes, therefore I can't even download and use Salesman. My anti virus doesn't block the dll's and there are exceptions just in-case, my .Net is fully updated to 4. I've turned off my firewall, still nothing. View attachment 112814
Bro. Today is Tuesday. There was a Patch last night. Much like there is almost every week. The bot. is. not. working. until. the. devs. get. a. chance. to. check. all. the. patch. details. and. update. the. bot.
Yes what? It's not Wednesday, it's Tuesday. And my other bots are running fine. So. Don't. Treat. Me. Like. A. Child.
So you have no plans to fix this in the current version of Salesman? The one I paid $20 for. The one you advertise as "The botbase features many settings that you can tweak to optimize the behavior to exactly how you like", "The easiest and greatest AH bot". Why can't you alter the logic so that prior to posting auctions, it stands beside mailbox and collects all mail? All that happens is my mailbox gets more and more full, and more and more of my stock is sitting in my mail instead of on the AH. I'm on quite a dead realm as well, and only really running the gem market. I would hate to think how this runs on a busy realm.
Please note that as a paying user, you are also able to use Salesman 3 beta if you prefer. I would rather focus my time on getting that ready for release than change functionality on an old version that should hopefully be phasing out soon. On another note, it seems I may have misunderstood some of what you've said, and the way I understand it now it sounds like a bug and that is something I will look into.
I'd like to say that I've spent a lot of work on botHaven Manager so that any plugin from my site should work pretty much right away after a patch. I do not need to rebuild plugins like other devs who are selling their products as a dll. I have implemented a workaround so that it should work with any version of HB. Of course, if there are bugs in HB after an update there's nothing I can do about it, except for waiting until that's fixed. That doesn't seem to be the problem for buzzkip though. It does look like a firewall issue, and I already replied him on the ticket he sent through my website.
A note for anyone asking support about my paid products on here: Please use the contact author form on my website, or alternatively write me an e-mail at inrego@bothaven.com By replying to your posts here, I am risking being banned from these forums. Also, I reply more swiftly to e-mails sent through the contact author form on the website, since I can see right away that you are a paying customer. So for your own sake and mine, please keep this thread about Salesman Lite.
Sorry didn't realise what the best method of communication was, figured the forums were good because others might have the same issue. Didn't realise the rules were so strict Personally, don't see what's wrong with transparency about paid profiles, or about profile authors getting paid for their work, but rules are rules I guess. Also, thanks for the response to my query, I'll drop you an email now so you've got my details and hopefully can diagnose if it is a bug. I'm happy to help in any way I can.
What would be a really cool addition to this is if it didn't stand in exactly the same spot and take the same path between AH/Mailbox/GBank - Are there any plans to add some randomness in, even stopping in between occasionally etc? Standing on the same exact pixel each time, has started to draw some attention...
