Sweeeeet. And it finally seems i am not the only one Gunna check everything with the nvidia tools you mentioned.
hell my HB isnt even working currently every time i open it i get an error report send off to bossland thingy
Ok, running 2 wows after around an hour or two, im sitting at 61 degrees Celcius with the fan at 30% (Auto Controlled) So i dont think ill have any problems there. Would underclocking it be usefull (would it run cooler?) but underclocking might make it run worse. And i can overclock as it would heat up more. Which is quite a dilema.
My wow has been crashing alot as well. didnt mention it in thread because i thought it was my crappy computer. i was running only 1 instance of wow and bot. ran smooth for while. then started crashing every 30 min or so. something about not being able to write memory. not sure. yeah if anyone figures this out. please let us know
Mine is now going in and out, it will last for about 30 min, itll crash, I'll start it up, and it might last for 6 hours or more, nothing has changed either, which is why I don't understand it.
These cards can withstand 61degrees, that shouldn't be the problem.. Mine were running 80+, which is getting near the danger zone. The nvidia firmware makes the pc reboot as soon as it reaches 99 degrees. Have you checked the voltages of your 5v and 12v rails ? Those older nvidia cards draw a lot of power and there was a certain generation of cool and lownoise psu's that weren't realy up to the task of powering those beasts.
Care to give some insight on how i check the voltages on my 5v and 12v rails? And this graphics card is not older at all, just bought it about 4 months ago, if that.
